Crying over the community rep's reply to a bard newb question? I'm sorry 15 months of a busted class with no actual sign or acknowledgement of the job's problem from the creative team and pointing that out and pointing out the inequality of that when so many other jobs have had their concerns addressed isn't crying.. it's trying to raise awareness. Were Dark Knights crying when they blew up the forums about their jobs problems? Were black mages when they asked for their buffs? Were bards when they asked for a battle voice tool tip to be edited? it's kinda disappointing to see this kind of disrespect by saying the machinist community who is struggling to have their voices heard and whom are being willfully ignored by the creative time is crying over that fact. They have every reason to be frustrated and tilted about it.

Are they within reason to be frustrated? Yes. Are they allowed to be frustrated? Yes. But to respond to a thread asking for advice on how to be a better MCH in the way some of them have? Sorry, I don’t really find that justified behavior.

Give the player asking for advice the advice they’re seeking. Don’t tell them to “just play BRD lul”. That isn’t helping anyone. People on this forum harp and harp about how those in-game never seem to take advice that’s given to them, and now we actually have someone asking for advice and they’re denied what they’re seeking because... what? MCHs are mad? How does that behavior solve anything?

It is when you hijack every thread even those entirely unrelated to Machinist. This is, what, the third thread where a bunch of Machinists have come in and whined. We have a player looking for advice and instead of being directed on how to play Machinist, they're being told "lol it sucks. Play something else." For one, Machinist may be in a bad spot, but it's far from Samurai or Black Mage 4.1. They weren't even in the running for a meta spot. Dark Knights and Black Mages didn't jump into threads not related to their issues and bitch. In fact, Dark Knights kept to a single thread they bumped repeatedly. And what do you know, they got some attention. Same with Black Mages. The only time they complained is, ironically, when people kept telling them to play Summoner. Funny how that goes.

Machinists have every right to be frustrated. No one is denying that. But we have someone actually wanting advice on Machinist and they're getting caught up in a drama war they likely have no idea about. All this does is tell the community reps to ignore you. They don't necessarily respond to every thread saying, "we're passing this along." They may, however, still read these forums. Evidently, if they're around, posting. They aren't going to if it becomes spam. All you do is hurt yourself.

While I will not insult you by belittling your argument. I fully agree that the machinist community should not be hijacking every thread. However I also understand their desire to. Anything to get any kind of attention. You are also correct in saying that we should be helping the OP in the advice he seeks. No one with any common sense could argue against your points. My sole point is that your choice of wording was a bit harsh for the situation. I get the frustration. That's why I put up my forum thread trying to get the machinist community to talk there so we could raise the points. Now before I get too long winded with this. I'm actually going to take some sane advice and recommend something for the OP that might help them along their journey..

In saying that To the OP, If you are looking for help with learning or asking questions, I would strongly recommend if you are a video learning kind of person looking up a machinist opener tutorial video. Fox has a good one that helped me figure it out quite a bit. It can be very tight and very demanding, you can always go into the balance discord server if you have discord as well as the machinists in there are pretty good with answering questions in a timely manner and explaining things in a clear and concise way. I believe there's a link to the server off the moogle post link someone else recommended. Good luck with machinist. I hope it works out well for you.
