That would be great, the feet on the viera would be enough to not want me to play them. The large ears might be odd enough on some gear.If we get a new race - something I dont really expect before we reach the New World for simple lore-reasons (where have they been this whole time?!) - it wont be anything truely beast-like for gear-reasons (I'm pretty sure they said as much). That means Lupin, Moogles, Banga and Ronso are pretty much out; Viera will have their feet altered, to fit our normal shoes.
For races I want something that shakes up the norm. All the races(excluding Lalafel) have the common dimorphism between male and female. Males are larger and more muscular while the females tend to be more petite and frail. Au'Ra is the poster child of this, but it can be seen across the rest of the races(Again, Excluding Lalafel) to a lesser degree. I want a race that flips it; Petite and frail males with large and intimidating females.
Ideally I wish for something fox-oriented like a kitsune or some other spin-off of it.
For jobs, we're lacking a ranged physical. 3 tanks, 3 healers, 4 melee, 3 casters, and 2 ranged. Not entirely sure where they could go for it since bows and guns are really the big two. They could get creative and use more obscure ones like boomerangs or bolas. They could also get creative with traditionally long weapons like some whips, blow/dartguns, and the old wrecking ball and chain.
Otherwise it could be a tank, healer, or caster.
Tank - Blue Mage/Mime/Copycat/Whatever you wanna call it, Magitek Knight, or dancer(they attract crowds remember?)
Healer - Geomancer, Oracle, or chemist
Caster - Who knows.
Following with what I wished for with the race, the caster would fall in line with that theme. Some kind of Yokai, or something along the lines of exorcist or so.
Where are you getting that information from?
The lorebook (in the page on Garlean history) describes ceruleum as a "natural resource", a deep-blue liquid that burns like oil, and I don't think it's been elaborated on beyond that. (We also see natural vents of it in the lowest levels of Cutter's Cry.) It seems intended to be fantasy-petroleum. Admittedly that doesn't disprove it being aetherially charged petroleum or something, but generally when crystals are used as 'aether batteries' they seem to dissolve entirely upon use.

For job predictions, I'm going to say dancer sharing Scouting gear with ninja. Even if it's a healer.
I'm not sure of how previous lore for dancer has them casting spells, but it seems logical to me that if it involves making particular movements (in the same vein as ninja's mudra) then dexterity is the stat that will give them that ability to perform well. In contrast to other healers that need less physical, more mental effort to channel their particular magicks, thus benefiting from the Mind stat.
Also if they've been planning it for a while, the Scouting gear seems to be setting up for it. There are things like the Ghost Barque Himation (shared model with mages' Star Velvet sets) that seem an odd choice for ninja, but would work great for dancer when it hypothetically becomes a future user of those sets. (And there are a few themed sets where Caster-and-Ranged and Healer-and-Scout gear share models, rather than the usual split between mage and DPS sets.)
I would love this, seeing as how there is a ton of Scouting gear that I just love, but never use because Ninja is probably my least favorite class. For job predictions, I'm going to say dancer sharing Scouting gear with ninja. Even if it's a healer.

As for predictions, I have all faith in our mysterious GameFAQs friend. Dancer, Gunblade, BLU, Viera and Ronso.
Tidbits from 1.0 lore, sightseeing logs and wikis citing lore Q&As from the staff here on the forums. Supposedly, the blue fog from ceruleum is it being burned away. I'd imagine using a crystal as a battery is different than draining its contents for fuel and why one leaves an empty shell while the other removes crystal and aether entirely. That's not to say there isn't an oil form of ceruleum - but that doesn't mean it can't crystallize (given the little bits of information we've been presented - Mor Dhona is polluted with ceruleum both in water, air and land). Especially since aether is the power source in Hydaelyn.Where are you getting that information from?

That makes sense though.
Considering their months by ship away, you'd only see a few of them trickle in. And those that do were persecuted by Ishgard for just LOOKING took much like a dragon. It's not like they were welcomed with open arms into Eorzea.

This as well as Raen's self exile from the rest of the world and the Xaela being locked in perpetual war with one another on the Steppe (not really, but every tribes' livelihood very much centers around the Steppe). I'd imagine those that did trickle in were tired, or banished, of these previous lives and traditions.
I notice a lot of people talking about what gear new jobs would use. I just want to add I hope they scrap maiming and aiming sets going forward, roll the previous designs into fending/striking and scouting.
5 "roles", 5 sets. Fending, Striking, Scouting, Casting, Healing.
Also feels like a fairer split too, instead of some sets covering 1 job (Hi NIN and DRG) each set would cover 3 or 4 jobs.
