I just abandoned an Alphascape V3 run.

Start off with WAR in Defiance, so I switch to Sword Oath. Then WAR switches to Deliverance, so I switch back to Shield. He then says "Thanks for volunteering to MT Kun. Appreciate it". Of course my mind read into that alot and it seemed brusque. So then we spend the next 30-45 mins wiping to Wave Cannons, the transition phase, the DPS were pulling the boss instead of me before I could even get my bearings back after a reset, the WAR not grabbing the tether that spawns during Mustard Bomb(When asked about it he said "Sure if you want to do it on easy mode, then yeh"). Pretty much everything was going wrong. As if I was being trolled.

After awhile I got burned out and told everyone "I had a feeling itd go this way. I need a break GL." Then left. Was then curious and then looked at where they were from in the contacts list. At least 6 of them were from Balmung.

It's rather well-known. Probably the most infamous of the NA servers (for good reason). I feel bad for the people who were on Mateus before Balmung was locked.

That was me last week except I was tanking...ala mhigo? Kugane? One of those. Anyways, one of the dps are wearing i145 right side acc. The other is sporting i210 weap with i200 gear. Healer is the only decently geared enough but the 3 soldiers take so long to kill that his mp is dead even after lucid cause he's trying to keep me alive and dps to help pick up the slap.

Hightailed it outta there and spent my lockout time doing beast quests.

The worst part is when they not only wear so much low level gear but they also wear one or two pieces so high level that it only averages out before entering the dungeon; then the dungeon caps those pieces down to 300 or 310. "lol but my average is 310!" Not here it isn't. Good job misunderstanding how the sync works.

I had a tank pull something similar once with Stone Vigil HM, years ago. Dungeon capped anything above 110, and the squishy tank argued that their iLV was above 110 and I just needed to get good. Their average was only so high because of two accs and either the belt or pants (I forget), so those three pieces got synced to 110 inside the dungeon, and the crap gear they wore otherwise was just there, insulting me. So much facepalm when people do this.

I just saw a marauder with a Titan axe (not a glamour, the actual axe, I checked) in Dun Scaith.

I can't remember what duty I was in, but someone got a stack marker and ran away from the group or something, killing themselves and maybe one other person.

So in chat I say "You have to stack for that." Their response was that they forgot what that marker did.

The marker that shows up in, like, every single trial, dungeon, and raid.

Literally this. They say the same thing to me every single time, even in level 70 content, where its impossible for them to not have seen the marker dozens of times already.

If they die to it multiple times even after an explanation I just stop getting them up, and co-healer usually realizes it and does the same.

Was doing Alphascape normal mode weeklies with some friends the other day, and I got some very... interesting runs of v12n.

One was a run (that ultimately ended in a wipe) with 19 deaths pre-DPS check. 19. Deaths. I don’t even know how we passed the check—we ended up wiping to one of the Optimized Battledances when the other healer and I were out of MP from too much raising (and a BRD that never used Refresh once), and we couldn’t save the tanks from the autos after the tankbuster. The weird thing is, is the second pull the only person who died was the BRD (who also let Raises time out multiple times). I guess everyone finally woke up? Comm’d the other healer because they were the only one aside from the tanks that didn’t die to silly things (and they were a good co-AST—never once overwrote my cards).

Another run was where a DRG accused me of chasing him with my Optimized Fire III AOE when I was running to the very edge of the arena so that he didn’t have to disengage from the boss with his, and he followed me there. You’re a melee—why are you running to the edge of the arena with a healer? Let the healers and ranged run to the edge; stay on the boss. Of course, that was his 3rd death of the run—the others he died to standing in an AOE and getting blown off by Omega-F’s knockback.

And one more run... where we had a new RDM with an i300 weapon melded with STR VI and Spell Speed V materia.
But, wait! There’s more! His i380 NQ body piece was melded with DEX VI materia!

I just want to say it's extremely upsetting to have someone, a healer, waste peoples' times and on top of that abuse the vote kick to avoid the 30 minute penalty when leaving. I hope the other player you kicked reports you (they haven't responded to my friend request so that I can send them a tell about it), but I did.

I can offer a perspective of another MDPS: I do things like that all the time, because I have zero trust (backed up by personal experience) in my fellow party members from DF. The uptime lost generally doesn't matter at all in normal mode, and trying to do stuff the "optimal" rather than the "safe" way - and expecting others to do so as well - is asking for a quick death.
