Change the tooltip for MNK Tornado Kick!!!

It's very confusing for new players that the tooltip says Tornado Kick hits for 330 potency when it actually hits for 440 potency!!! A poor newbie might think the kick is bad when it's actually good! This terrible ordeal should be fixed ASAP.

Or maybe it's actually meant to hit for 330 potency but it's bugged and thus hits too hard? Maybe this is why SAM was too weak compared to MNK all these months!!!

This is because it’s typically BUFFED by Grease Lightning. The tooltip is the base value.

Same goes for BLM's fire spells, which are all buffed by Astral Fire. They are quite a bit stronger than one would think.

The 440 number was from someone else's test. Mine seems to point towards 430. Both of which are not 330.

I'm just trying to channel my rage into something useful right now and be productive, to be honest.

To be frank, your fit of rage isn’t doing any favors. Greased Lightning’s Tooltip explains where the damage increase comes from, and it effects MNK’s damage as a whole. Tornado Kick’s tooltip tells you the base potency, so if you really want to go math it out, take the percentage of GL3 buff and factor it into Tornado Kick’s potency.

I did? I compared 100 potency attacks with GL3 and Tornado Kick with GL3, both with the same buffs (Twin Snakes and Dragon Kick). The numbers don't match. It's all in my bug report.

Funny to see some players being dead set that the Tornado Kick tooltip is correct when what happens ingame totally proves otherwise. You should try it by yourselves, it's not really hard math or anything. You will see it hit consistently way harder than the potency it's advertised for.
