SE have said that a new Rival Wings map is in development. It's very likely that Rival Wings will get its own rotation system when the second map gets released.

Can the roulette in general just be changed? I don't like the Secure > Seize > Shatter > repeat rotation we've got going on, I'd much rather see it just pick one at random and be the only means of queuing into them. Nothing like logging on, wanting to PvP, and seeing that it's Shatterday. Either let me just queue Seize only or force me to do the other ones on the vague hope of getting the good PvP mode. I'd rather it be pure RNG than just had days where I simply don't want to queue because of the game mode on offer, even slap Rival Wings in such a system, Lord knows I wont queue into it any other way.
Oh God, please no... Rival Wings is so painfully un-fun and the matches just so long and boring... It needs a complete rework IMO, but instead I'd rather it be forgotten and those developer resources put to something more worthwhile... Imagine how much sooner SE could have addressed the fact that melee don't quite work in large scale PvP anymore with the Stormblood changes, if they didn't waste time on Rival Wings... I really wish SE would work on refining the PvP we have, rather than just bloating it out with stuff nobody ever asked for...

I tried to hop into Astragalos, by itself in the queue, I waited for 90 minutes. I didn't realize that the Gorilla Mount comes from that specific Pvp battle, so I would be all for trying to at least incorporate that pvp version into the pvp roulettes
If you want to do Rival Wings nowadays, you need to join a discord server. There is one that organizes RW matches every Saturdays. The normal queue will remain dead in NA/EU until SE adds the same incentive as what Frontline now has; A rotation system with a daily bonus.
