PSA/ALERT: Houses are getting demolished when they shouldn't. SE needs to see this!

I upgrade my house to an M from an S. I waited 24 days for devaluation so I could afford the house and finish the outside how I wanted.

Well apparently the M was demolished improperly.... and yesterday the prior owner was all uppidity of the fact and said I stole their lot. Which was not a fun experience.

Being at a loss I simply told them it was up for sale for more than 3 weeks before I bought it. If SE gave the guy back his lot of be really upset as I've waited patiently to upgrade, but at the same time I wouldn't want this happening to me either. But since the time I bout it my old S was purchased. So reverting wpuld be affecting 3 people at minimum and I don't think any current owners losing their houses to prior owners would be appreciative of this.

Also, there's been very little actual proof shown and a lot of bluster/misinformation/mistakes (no, being on the property doesn't count you have to go in), so there's always the chance that someone is taking advantage of the confusion right now and is trying to guilt new home owners. It's not your bug to worry about (other than: be mindful of staying out of your home for too long, as for any homeowner), just enjoy your new home!

While I understand the frustration of the player who lost the house, you did not steal anything. If the plot was indeed removed from their ownership when it shouldn't have been that that's SE's fault, not yours. Unless you managed to hack the game to take their house but achieving that is extremely unlikely.

I sense a measure of guilt in your post but don't feel guilty. You had no way of knowing if the plot being available was a bug as nothing in the game that you can see would indicate it for you. If that player bothers you again tell them to take their grievances to SE and if they persist in blaming you then report them to a GM because at that point it's harassment.

Update, it's now been about... a week and a half to two weeks and still no reply from the GMs. I just sent another email via the actual website asking why I haven't received a reply. I think it's pretty pitiful that SE has a super messed up glitch and they can't even be bothered to reply to me.

I know the thread is long, but it's been said over and over in this thread (I must have said it at least a half dozen times myself.) Posting about it anywhere other than the bug report forums is pointless. Even the mod who responded to the thread said to post it in the bug report forums. What part is so confusing?

I'm frustrated. I don't use forums ever and was only on this one because SE refuses to message me and my friend linked me this thread specifically. I unfortunately don't have all day normally to read through 43 pages of stuff and from the skimming I did do, I didn't see it. I understand it can be frustrating saying the same thing over and over, but maybe consider you're not saying the same thing over and over to the same person so you don't come across as rude to the person who's never seen your message before.

I'll go to the bug thread now that I've seen this.
