Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

The odds of SE treating the clans like Midlander and Highlander are pretty low, in my opinion. It's pretty much making two of the same race.

I'd be fine with it if SE give all the current races a third clan that are noticeably different first, though (would be neat to see a third Au Ra clan look like their original concept art).

then the viera from ff12, after playing zodiac age the viera shown in that game are literally the elezen with bunny ears and sharp fingers, while the Humming way is a old one time used race that could use some love, i mean they did bring back the lupin which was a one time use for werewolves.

Honestly I wouldn't get excited for Viera or any other 'human with superficial animal features' race, and in general would prefer another new race rather than grabbing races from older games. But if Viera get in I won't be upset and flipping tables either.

If they plan on releasing more races in the future they could always switch between new and old.
Like we got Au Ra that are completely original to FFXIV, now we could get something from older FF games and then the next one could be another original race etc. This way both sides that want races from older games and original races would be satisfied.

Viera would probably have to be different in FFXIV anyway, unless they're actually planning to bother giving them animal-like feet.

It’s been a while since I’ve commented here. Just wanting to show my support still. Final Fantasy XII was one of my favorites!!

I started as a midlander, but I think keeper of the sun was my final destination (and, frankly, what I should have started as). That said, why not? Variety is fabulous! Add more races, clans, options--everything! I'm comfortable with my character choice forever, perhaps, but I'd love to see different types of players. I'm all for it, if it draws in more players, which would enrich my experience, I'm sure.

I still have my hope for viera. I'm just worried that both of the concept arts they've shown in the past might be tossed out and they will use something else. Hopefully, something good but a part of me is still sad with what they did with auras. : (

Can the fan fests come already so that we can be one of a few things? Delighted and can't wait because they are giving us viera and they look just like one if not both of the concept art shows. Be slightly saddened because yes we're getting viera but it's like how the au ra turned out or not how anyone would want them to be. Then there's the sadness of the new race not being viera mixed with the joy that at least we are getting a new one. Last but not least the utter heartbreak that we're not getting a new race at all. All of this waiting for just november is not fun. Also if we do get viera please for the love of the twelve don't stick them with voices no one likes.

With all "limitations" so far, wouldn't even be surprised..
