well again, coming from a blm that does savage, you understand you can still keep as much uptime as every other job on these fights +/-1% doing your full normal rotation right? THAT is the difficulty, and the fun part of black mage. Its not exactly complexity to think a moment ahead and set up methods to be mobile.Hmmm... no, I have to disagree.
Difficulty and complexity are two different things; and this also relates to the "flow theory" of games in general... but that's another discussion entirely. Black Mage as a job is arguably complex because of the end game mechanics it had to adapt to. As said on the previous pages, unleash a BLM on the strike dummies and we can deliver massive dps numbers... yes, looks great on paper.
However, turreting is not the case when it comes to practically playing within skip-jump rope mechanics... and that's what makes it complex. Its not a difficult job.

Hey what if ley lines was a thing where we tap into the lines on the ground so where ever we go we are always tapped in to the power. Also it would remove the need for between the lines.
Would this be to op?
I don't think its about being too strong but rather if it would destroy the identity of the skill.

This is exactly what quite a few of us suggested (either here or on reddit... can't remember now).
Leylines should be an activated spell that functions constantly without a timer... make it move with us? Dunno, but at least have it there for us on the battlefield
Imagine not understanding why BLM isnt good for prog.

It would just be too boring. LL is interesting as a self buff exactly because you need to plan when and where to use it. Also, you can use it as a movement tool in some particular cases. I don't want a longer presence of mind on blm.

I wouldn't mind a presence of mind buff on Black Mage, if Leylines got turned into a Steroid-Steroid. Something that just magnifies all the beneficial effects on you while standing within.
Old post but, i killed o10s week one, had 10% something, got frustrated and hid them for a bit out of frustration, they're back up(a long time ago).
A note for OP, depending on the group you're trying to join hiding your logs looks a lot worse than having bad, or no logs. When I fill empty slots in my static I normally go for people I know can learn and be consistent even if their logs aren't that good, but them being hidden is usually a sign that something is weird, or that they're probably not going to jive with the group. Hidden logs can mean anything from embarrassment to aggressively antagonistic when it comes to accepting criticism or help or direction. It's better to head off that impression from the start.
If you deleted those because you uploaded them -- and I'm not saying you did -- and you wanted to save yourself from maybe getting attention from GMs;
They don't care, you don't need to hide it lol.
But basically what Zerathor is saying is true, you can keep uptime in all fights if you're good enough, the issue isnt the class being difficult or losing dps during movement, the issue is the sheer power of ressurects during progression, thats what phasing us out of most statics.

rez is a bad idea for blm (lor3-wise.... and wasting a SC for rez is too much, besides the dps / uptime lose)
better give blm a "special manashift trait", with reduced manashift CD and extra MP.., even if manashifting is a dps lose, its not that crazy during prog and blm will never run out of MP)
