Delineations and Whistle While you Work

Hey everyone! I have been leveling my crafters a ton recently to unlock all the level 50 abilities to make crafting easier on my 70 Alchemist. But I've noticed that none of the macros for high-level crafting use Heart of the (insert crafter) or Whistle While you Work. At level 70 would there ever be an appropriate time to incorporate these into my rotation? Thanks!

They're great for manual crafting with Maker's Mark, on top level crafts. I use Nymeia's Wheel when the whistle stack hits 1-2 for 30 durability, instead of letting it run out.

None of the macros use those two abilities, because both of those rely on RNG, which is something you'd want to avoid when macro crafting.
Heart of the <Crafter> increases the chance of good conditions, while Whistle While You Work is a system based around getting good conditions.

Thank you very much! Yeah I've been trying to figure out how to utilize them effectively in my crafting.

The thing about Whistle is that it won’t see much use unless you’re crafting manually. Even then, it’s really not needed unless you’re crafting 70 DUR final products from all NQ mats at minimum craftsmanship/control and are lacking a lot of key level 50+ cross class skills or are short on CP.

For 4*, if you have all of the key cross class abilities and can get around 550 CP through a combination of melds, food, potions, and spec bonuses, you’ll be more than ready for manual crafting from all NQ. They have been balanced so that even with minimum craftsmanship and control, you can 100% your 70 DUR crafts from all NQ 95% of the time. The only time you’ll run into trouble is if there are virtually no good procs during your synth and in those cases, Whistle wouldn’t be of any help either. Either way, you should be able to pull through regardless if you prioritize your use of your skills carefully.

For fast large scale production, you’ll want to upgrade your control to 1750-1800+, which will allow you to switch to either shortened non-spec manual synths or RNG free/minimal RNG spec based rotations.

Basically this. I found Whislte While you Work was a great way to get my gear up to date but beyond that it's not that practical because of the cost of delienations. Also, I used this method so much that now I don't even know how to craft properly without using it lol so now i"m trying to learn how to do proper rotations. But if it wasn't for Whistle While you Work and Nymeia's wheel I doubt I would have ever gotten over the hump. So if you're under geared and trying to get caught up then it's a great way to get yourself going especially without needing any HQ mats. Once there it's just not practial to use it.
