Maybe, but he said that after answering a question about having a GC in ishgard, so many it is related to that.

My guess with this is Ishgard is locked until you get to the Heavensward MSQ and they don't want that high of a level requirement. Not that I'm a fan of how EVERYTHING is locked behind the msq like this but that's how the game is.

He made it sound like he was talking about playable content, not an housing ward, I get the idea that if we are getting an housing ward in HW areas, it won't be in ishgard but perhaps in the coertjhas region, maybe we can find out a possible placement by lookng at 1.0 maps.

That said It wouldn't hurt for SE to also apply festivities to the new capitals, but maybe that's just me

Perhaps. Though phasing that would be tricky given that no small number of side quests take place in the area and refer to it as being significantly run down.

Because if they add another grand company they have to go and work on gear sets, pvp mounts and tons of other stuff that is lost man power. One person can work on a few hours in lore to figure out why there are no grand companies in Ishgard. To make it "lore friendly" to satisfy the needs of a small amount of fans that want it is simply poor resource and project management.

The Temple Knights are for all practical purposes the Grand Company of Ishgard.
They are not very interested in attaching adventurers to themselves though - so we can't join them like we can with the GCs of the starter cities.
