What really annoys me is not that they can't fight back the DDoS attacks since it's pretty difficult to do so.
It's that they don't give compensation for the lost days.
Will they go bankrupt if they give 2-3 more days as compensation?

I believe part of the point behind not is to actually prevent encouragement.

If you wanted free game time, just force a DDoS. Square would have to keep compensating.

I do understand that this has been going for a long time, but as stated, it's not specifically Square's servers that are faulty, it's the line people are using to reach them. That's not something Square has personal control over. I do feel you, but just hold it out.

If someone wants free game time and uses a DDoS attack to get said gametime he screws himself out of gametime in the first place by making sure the servers/routing isn't working properly. As I have stated before I have gotten free game time in other games before even if the company wasn't at fault for what was happening. It's simply common courtesy to do something like that when an issue has been going on for more than just 1 or 2 days.

I'm not saying they shouldn't. I guess as a different way of the same reason... If the person would just get their lost time back, then they don't lose anything, but Square still loses money.

If you want to blame and yell at anyone, yell at the jerks doing the DDOS attacks in the first place. They don't care who they hurt, they enjoy creating chaos.

I suggest maybe finding something else to do in the meantime. I know it's frustrating. I've been in quite a number of games who have been DDOSed, as well as the SoE/Sony hacking fiasco a few years back.

What's stopping someone from doing their daily chores, logging out for the day and then DDoSing the hell out of the servers to get that day refunded?

I'm pretty sure I mentioned several times that I wasn't asking for compensations for 1 or 2 days of this. But this has been going on for about a week on top of the issues that Chaos already has on a regular basis. Even in the text you quoted from me this is mentioned. Some people seem to be allergic to reading x.x

You'd be very surprised. If they find it fun, then there's reason enough for some.
