Why isn't the Temple Knights of Ishgard a Grand Company by now?

Developmentwise? I think it's mostly just that Yoshida wouldn't want to dedicate resources to it, lol. He's not a big fan of "re-treading" over "old content" when you can move full steam ahead to something truly new (something something irony about how little the dev. cycle has changed and that we're still doing most of the same activities in new places).

I'll throw Ishgardian and Ala Mhigan Grand Companies on my list of corners they could un-cut with hypothetical EORZEA II expansion, lol. Flight and swimming in old zones, the other half of Silvertear Lake, another arc of quests that apply to the city-states, recycle some more of the lost 1.0 lore, flesh out some of the stuff that was rushed through in 2013, beastman strongholds, Coerthas lowlands in the old style, a lore library, glamour system overhaul, gear dyeing overhaul, actual Ala Mhigo zone, housing wards...

(But - lorewise - yes, it's just not their style, man. They just got around to accepting adventurers in the walls this year!)

Well maybe not now but in later expansions

it's a small thing really since I loved Ishgard after HW but I won't lose sleep over it,just wondered what was the reason behind the lack of it
