This is so that garuda's skill is on cooldown and she will immediately cast contagion then you can swap back to ifrit for more damage. But they definitely shouldn't be hard casting ifrit.

On another note, I finally downed savage Chaos. This time teamed with a couple of friends, and we got it on our (I think?) third PF group. All but us 2 tanks ended up dying to Cyclones going off (scary), but we managed to get down the last fraction of a % before Earthquake happened. The last hit was my Requiescat, so my thought process went to "well, I guess I was correct, he rests now".

Was farming Suzaku Ex this weekend, and the PF I was in got a WAR with i370/i380 everything except their weapon.



Weapon was the i290 Antiquated weapon.

Well I can recount the time back in heavensward where I had a warrior with a gubal NORMAL weapon on in Sohm Al Hard, while also proceeding to barely keep aggro.

And then they lose their mind when I pointed it out and had to be kicked.

No money.. as I'm leveling PLd right now and I have no poes or gil to buy gear.. so I have to spam dungeons to get gear. It sucks and happens more often then you would think. Tho I don't que into harder content like that.. but just saying.. it does happen.

Queued for mentor roulette as DRK and got dropped in the vault 48 minutes in progress on last boss. First try the healer gets run over by a horse and doesn’t remove the bleed and is subsequently killed by altar pyre because healing was slow. I asked if they had esuna on the way back and they said yeah. Second try, same thing except I see them spamming Cure 3 and only healing themselves. I explain that a Cure 3 has a very short range with high MP cost and is not worth casting unless we are all stacked (and with 2 SMNs, no one is stacked). This is when healer gets defensive and tells me to worry about tanking, they know how their spells work, they weren’t trying to heal me with it, they healed who they wanted with it.

This is why I don’t bother trying to help teach anyone, even in mentor roulette. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I already have my Astrope, I do this roulette just to fill queues.

We did manage to clear on the 4th try (surprisingly I didn’t see any cure 3s lol), only me and the healer was alive for the last 5% and healer swift casted a heal on themselves instead of getting a SMN up. Whatevs.

I can't believe I didn't share this.

A couple days ago, after getting into plenty of clear parties for Suzaku ex that just weren't doing well (like 10 minutes in, boss is 48% not well), I made my own party. A clear for myself, people joining had to have cleared. I expected it to go nowhere, the party itself actually being more of a little vent. But after half an hour, a bard joined. And he brought his friends, getting more members. After a bit longer, we got the party together fully.

We went in and... We ONE SHOTTED IT. Not only that, my rapier dropped.

I just wanted to say, to the 7 that came, thank you so much. I am happy people gave me a chance, and I am glad I was able to show it back within the party.

Welp, last night was the first time I've ever bailed on a dungeon. I was leveling WAR trying to get to LV60 and decided to run Gubal Library (a dungeon I hate very much) since I finished all my roulettes. Things are going fine up until Demon Tome. I know that someone is new in the dungeon and I just note that I hate the boss. We proceed to wipe, which is fine since people are new. Explained mechanics. And then we proceeded to wipe 5 more times because the WHM kept dying. I don't quite understand how you can reach LV59 on a WHM and not use: Tetra, Bene, Medica 1 or Medica 2, and Assize. I tried to be patient. I'm a healer main (AST/WHM) so I know how WHM works. I'm just really hoping I didn't scare a new healer away from healing. I'm so sorry to that party I had to abandon. :c

I have been in Suzaku ex practice parties recently (couldn't do it much yet because all of the disconnects last week) and my co-healers only used like 30% of their abilities all the time. WITHOUT the dps spells. I've come to terms with the fact that so many healers refuse to dps even during downtime. But please, please just use all your healing abilities at least! I'm still learning the fight too, I can't solo heal it. Please use Earthly Star more than once during the fight. Please shield the tanks before tankbusters, especially when they have vulnerability up stacks. Please use Assize. Yes, it does damage and you don't like that, but it's also a free heal. Just like Asylum. You can also Regen the tank instead of pressing Cure every 2 seconds. Divine Benison is a great shield, please use it. Tetragrammaton is like a free, instant Cure II. I don't even want to begin with things like Presence of Mind, Lightspeed or Eye for an Eye. I make mistakes too, especially during practice. But I at least try to use everything at my disposal. Yes, I sometimes forget about Synastry when I'm on AST because the WHM spot was already taken. But I don't forget about everything but Benefic and Helios.
If you already don't dps as a healer at all, please at least do the healing part well.

Congrats. I've been trying to clear it for the past day or so and every "clear" party I have joined hasn't even dropped the boss under 35% and even hit the enrage timer a few times. Most haven't even reached the enrage timer. Poor dps and poor situational awareness were major factors. People seem to be joining clear parties and treating them as practice runs. And yet the learning party I was in yesterday was able to get her to around...15% ish before hitting the enrage timer. It makes me sad that it fell apart because I have no doubt that group could have cleared it.
