Patch Downloads Are Slow On PS4 now.

It's better than the alternative. Before, if you had a power outage while changing areas or if the server was 'saving', you'd lose everything. Have to spend way longer than that downloading all the patches than how it is now. Just do something else while waiting, which you can actually do now since you don't have to sit in the app. Pull up a single player offline game and play through it while it's downloading, or just leave your PS4 in rest mode while asleep, the patch should automatically download and install itself.

I had this failure multiple times and had to redownload the whole game at least twice a month. I was talking with the technical support and they said it was because of power outage, or it could be the harddrive, or I had to change the network settings on my PS4... nothing worked, and I didn't had power outages. I was properly shutting off the game and the console.

However, then I heared from other players that they have the same issue, and suddenly the support said they already had plans all the time that they want to change the update process to the PS4 standard to fix that problem.

So no idea what caused the deletion, the support wasn't willing to let me know what the problem was, instead they told me the problem was on my side and made wild assumptions. One time they even admitted that the thing they told me has nothing to do with the problem, but I should just keep trying... yeah...


I am very glad they changed the system. No more redownloading the whole game (I hope) and thanks to auto-updates in rest mode, everything is ready when I start the console.

Only thing I dislike is that i needed 37 GB of free space for that 100 MB update yesterday. However, with the old system the game was twice as big, so I guess we are at + / - 0 here.
