Shatotto and Shantotto

To dig up this old thread, during the level 63 Stormblood blackmage quest, Shatotto says, "Oh dear, you really aren't very smart. Very well, I shall begin from the very- er, beginning. Dear me, did I almost rhyme? Who does that, anyway? Anyhow, the tale begins some two millennia ago, when the great civilization of Mhach was still in its infancy." Also, Shatotto in the quest line is but a memory of the original Shatotto, who left behind the memory over 2000 years ago and takes over Lalai, and even hates hats so she can show off the very same hair Shantotto has.

I don't think they're the same character, just a reference to the FF XI character. Afterall they've done this before. Aren't Raubahn and the Immortal Flames a reference to something in FF XI? Plus the Cids, Biggs' and Wedges. Jessie also references FF VII.

Jessie might be a running reference from more than that? At any rate definitely a minor mention in Kingdom Hearts alongside Biggs and Wedge. (Shopkeepers in Twilight Town if I remember correctly.)

Jessie might be in other games I haven't played, I know Biggs and Wedge have been several though not as many as Cid. I hadn't seen any other Jessies personally so I figured she was just in FF VII but wouldn't be shocked if KH had her too since it has a lot of FF characters mixed in. I'm only seeing her in VII and XIV in the FF wiki but wikis are wikis something could just not be here. The XIV one certainly seems modeled after the VII one.
