Boi. Last tier they were orange across the board
A note for OP, depending on the group you're trying to join hiding your logs looks a lot worse than having bad, or no logs. When I fill empty slots in my static I normally go for people I know can learn and be consistent even if their logs aren't that good, but them being hidden is usually a sign that something is weird, or that they're probably not going to jive with the group. Hidden logs can mean anything from embarrassment to aggressively antagonistic when it comes to accepting criticism or help or direction. It's better to head off that impression from the start.
If you deleted those because you uploaded them -- and I'm not saying you did -- and you wanted to save yourself from maybe getting attention from GMs;
They don't care, you don't need to hide it lol.
But yeah, hiding doesn't do favors. Even if it's meh, any week one prog is good

I'm still very new to BLM, and the game in general (one of my alts is a BLM). But this part confuses me. Isn't this how Enochian works now? I'm confused.- Revert Enochian to a separate buff (like how it was in HW) but still have its duration (of about 20 seconds) refreshed with stacks. This would let you drop stacks for even a split second, such as when transitioning 'late' from Astral to Umbral via Blizzard III, without dropping (and thus having to re-apply) Enochian. (And would even let you pre-cast it!)
But I think the class is very fun and I'm really enjoying learning how to play better. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how all these skills weave in and out of each other. I haven't gotten to Stormblood yet, I'm still just trying to understand and get the hang of the level 60 skillset first, before I get any new skills to learn.
Enochian is a buff that stays active only as long as you do not drop AF/UI. The proposal would change it to a timed buff which has it's timer refreshed each reapplication of AF/UI. This would let you drop you stacks due to mechanics but still keep Enochian up.

But you shouldn't be dropping stacks period.

In theory, but the main scenario I have an issue with (in principle, though sometimes also in practice) is:
3 stacks of Astra Fire, between 1 and 2 seconds left (the UI isn't exactly millisecond accurate) ...
Cast Blizzard III (with the fast cast time) ...
Changes to 3 stacks of Umbra Ice...
All good right? Nope! You actually just 'dropped' your stacks, at least for a few 10ths of a second... which, while having no discernible difference in feel to a 'non-stack-dropping' AF/UI change, is enough to remove Enochian, which you now have to clunkily re-apply (assuming you noticed and didn't just try casting Blizzard IV serveral times with no response and completely screw up you UI phase timings...)
The above was NOT an issue in HW (when Enochian was a separate buff), but by tying Enochian to AF/UI stacks (to make it 'easy' / 'better') they have actually made it objectively worse... it's just that you don't have to cast Blizzard IV now... which could have just as easily been achieved by making Enochian refresh on any AF/UI stack refresh... and as I mentioned, as a separate buff you can pre-cast it (instead of the clunky-as-f*** way we have to use it now).

If you count 'not having the entire fight memorised' user error, or getting stunned.

Hmmm... no, I have to disagree.
Difficulty and complexity are two different things; and this also relates to the "flow theory" of games in general... but that's another discussion entirely. Black Mage as a job is arguably complex because of the end game mechanics it had to adapt to. As said on the previous pages, unleash a BLM on the strike dummies and we can deliver massive dps numbers... yes, looks great on paper.
However, turreting is not the case when it comes to practically playing within skip-jump rope mechanics... and that's what makes it complex. Its not a difficult job.
I mean, RDM and SMN are superior for prog. You shouldn't get mad at BLM buffs but rather how fundamentaly strong raise have been since SB dropped.
