Sony Reverses Stance on CrossPlay - Can we get an update on FFXIV for Xbox?

With the announced Change from Sony today, allowing cross-play, can we get an update on if FFXIV will be coming to the Xbox? If Xbox is dragging their feet and not working with Square-Enix it would be good to know so we can keep fighting for this.

Yep, I saw that on Windows Central. The ball is completely in Microsoft's court now. They're demanding separate servers for Xbox players AFAIK, as well as demanding Xbox Live Gold to play FFXIV on their platform, so that's what we're waiting for now.

They took them down for XI, but with Xbox One they put them back up. There's a whole other thread about it that I can't remember the link for, but they have the source there. Something about progress on Switch type thread in the title IIRC.

Microsoft is desperate to reclaim their top spot, as well as gain a foothold in Japan, I imagine they would be willing to compromise for XIV.
