SE: Can we get back skip cutscene in Main Scenarios?

Kind of amazing though that only one group is really complaining about it, and it's not the ones that are choosing to do it

even if for the mentor roulet part you are right, this is a feature proving devs are disconnected of players... Proof they dont think as players.

But for the part i did quote, lets show you anything :

1) Change a content to make it a lot less appealing, so people will stop doing it
2) People stopping due to the change will complain about the change (logic...)
3) say they dont have to complain because they did stop using the content.

So, never have to complain when SE change anything on "optionnal" content right? or you like the change and play without any complain, or you leave but cant complain because you left...

It would be a kinda decent idea if SE implements a cutscene skip vote for everyone, even though I immediately concern some people might threaten others to vote skip so they'll skip the cutscenes to speed run the MSR. Should the community be nice and friendly to each other, cutscene skip voting would be a great idea.

Although I'd agree that if the community were nice and friendly to each other, that would be a good feature, the whole reason this became forced is because the vast majority of the player base aren't friendly enough. When people had the option of skipping, new players were totally locked out of seeing the conclusion of the storyline because other people thought their right to fast tomestones was more important than someone else's right to see the actual game. (And that's even despite the fact that the whole reason they were even given those tomestones in the first place was supposed to be a reward for ensuring new players would get their chance to see the story.)

Letting people vote to skip it would turn into the same thing. Players would always demand that skipping has to be approved or the run would be abandoned, so in either case no-one would have the option of fully playing the dungeons. We'd be right back to where we were before (except with the griefers being given even bigger rewards for their griefing).

This thread is really silly. The unskippable cut scenes were put in place because new players were getting harassed, griefed, and bullied over not skipping the cut scenes. Sorry, but in a story-driven MMO, the developers are never going to support story being skipped for new players.

So if you do not want to deal with cut scenes, do not queue for Main Scenario roulette. It's that simple. If you're looking for EXP and / or tomes, there are much better avenues than Main scenario roulette.

They do something for a waste of time because either they don't care about how time-consuming MSR is, or they want to get the juicy 300 tombstones of poetics (new people come everyday and they have to get good gears at that level), or they want to help new players.

Yes, it's a game, but it shouldn't be used as an excuse to be a jerk at someone. Different people has their own understanding of priorities, and you don't want to point your noses into their businesses as well as them doing the same thing to yours. Be respectful!

If you go unsynced you should be able to skip. Its stupid that you can't.

So is it ok to force 7 other people to sit there for an hour+ to watch a cs? I was told to skip the cs back in ARR and watch it later in the inn, did that, went fine. Now you can unsync it for a first time out a pf for just for the watching them, etc. MSQ roulette is a good 300 tomes and 1m+ exp, that's kinda hard to pass up for someone leveling.

I doubt they will reverse their skip policy but we can also be vocal about it on the forums.

The roulette is suppose to be scaled around that amount of time, which is why they buffed the rewards hard twice, If they brought back skipping they'd have to drop the reward back down again.
