Eureka is bad, because it encourages the player community to be more toxic. You don't see people starting fights over Verminion or Chocobo racing. There's a difference between optional content that can 'safely' be ignored, and optional content that emotionally manipulates people into thinking 'they have to do it.' And that kind of content is toxic for the community.

Square Enix knows people will go through great lengths to complete their relic. But when those challenges are hidden behind optional content of which people don't like--they'll get resentful that they felt forced to do content they hate to achieve the goal they're after (the relic). It stops becoming about playing for fun and running what you enjoy, but more about wasting your time chasing after a reward, and then being angry and bitter the whole journey. Square-Enix should be responsible for laying down the roadwork for a well-meaning and cooperative community--rather than purposely taking advantage of people's emotional short-comings and pitting them against each other.

Eureka should have been released without the Relic. That way people who enjoy Eureka for what it is--can do Eureka. And those who don't can avoid it. Just tie the relic to something everyone gets passively like Poetics. Remove rewards from Eureka!

You purposely are nitpicking everything everyone has said and ignoring the fact that everyone has said they DID NOT ASK FOR ANOTHER FATE GRIND. Along with the factor that you get your "love" for pagos and eureka from the forums here, most of the player base uses Reddit because of forum restrictions, if you cannot read how much hate people have for this content due to your blind love and turning a blind eye to what people are saying they hate about it. Also relic never was meant for just the raiders, it was casual intended saying that people shouldn't be going for it that is casual is just rude. And i dont know about you but many high end raiders tend to use the relic for Prog in the savages but now they are using primal weapons. I'm waiting for you to nitpick this statement like you have the others.

Stop talking for the whole playerbase when you don't know.

Yeah, I have, but I've never tried to convince anyone to actually love it. Just suggesting to not do it if you don't and let those who love it enjoy, since you have other options for gearing.

Not this one, and Yoshi-P was the one saying not everybody will want to roam Eureka.

Considering Primal weapons existed from the start of Heavensward, they had 3 years to move on.

As my last post in this joke of a debate, I'll say what I said yesterday in Pagos to put an end to a boring disagreement between the one who love doing pagos and a lot of other who was just poking fun to Pagos out of boreness.

You enjoy Eureka ? Great, have "fun" at your heart content.

We don't enjoy it so we trash it to alleviate the pain ? Great, let us be salty about it.

We "eureka hater" fill up the place for our beloved weapon at the cost of fun, consider the hate pumping this train like a fair price for you to don't roam this instance alone.

Yeah yeah your not alone silent eureka lovers and all + people that don't care we are so few hater nobody can hear nor see us anywhere, its an obvious exageration, being alone or 12 in a 144 personne instance is kinda lonely. Yup I pull those number out of my a**, but its was Pagos without a train, random assumption too deal with it cause I don't care enough about blind white Knight to pursue this boring deaf discussion.

But, funnily enough, if Eureka ends up having a huge participation number, no haters I've came across will actually admit that it's a worthy content for the game, simply not for them, like could be PvP, Gold Saucer, or any alternate content.

That's why I strongly suggest to people who don't like Eureka to not do it, so that their feedback will appear on statistics.
Hard to make it a fair comparison though because relic is gated behind Eureka. People may totally hate the content but do it simply to get their relic. Yoshi-P and the dev really need to drop a poll out at the end of an expansion life cycle so they can simple and honest feedback on what players liked and what they hated in SB.

Sorry, but that's one thing I don't understand. Even if the reward is interesting (And frankly, more and more people admit that the relic is so late that it's close to useless for anything except glamour), there's no way I would punish myself with a content I despise.

    They sure should.

Actually, I think they can, and, ironically enough, several ideas should be taken directly from FFXI.

I personally don't think the FATE train is the real culprit in Eureka, but the fact that grinding outside of the train is very tedious. So, you could include something that could be called Elemental Quests, inspired by the Fields Of Valor from FFXI. Basically, a small quest that requires you to kill a certain types of mobs, rewards you with Xp, Cristals and Coffers and is set on auto-repeat. And the more you repeat it, the higher the rewards get. It would make low-man far less cumbersome until you reach a level where you can navigate comfortably and join the train.

Another option, which is a given, is a level sync diretly from the party menu. I still don't understand how they missed this...

And the last one is not really to make Eureka smoother now, but into the future, for people who might want to experience it during 5.0. You remove the Elvl sync of the zones, and you treat every NM like a Hunt mark or create items to pop weaker version of them. So, again, even if you go solo, you'll be able to kill any targets as soon as you reach an appropriate level to gather more Crystals.
