Request for general advice for being good at playing

The software you are referring to needed to be updated and the first stable and working release was yesterday.
Also the website you talked about needs an update as well, new fights need to be implemented, but that will take another week or two because they have to update the whole source code as far as I heard.


Anyways, I know I am on another data center and all, but I really sympathise with some statements you made so feel free to hit me up on discord to have a chat and maybe I can help you on a few things as well. ^^

If you just want an idea on wether or not your general ninja-rotation is decent or not, I'd recommend you just try Stone, Sky, Sea for a fight that fits the ilvl of your ninja and see how close you get to beating it. It wont be an accurate representation of how well you'd be doing in the actual fight, because of the lack of mechanics obviously, but it will give you an idea in regards to your rotation (and as I mentioned: I think having that down in your sleep first is a good idea, because it frees you to pay attention to mechanics and to your fellow teammates, allowing you to make better use of your support-skills).

I might be out of line here, but... considering your experience with a certain website... are you really sure you wanna look yourself up there again? Maybe you can achieve knowledge of wether or not you're a decent ninja without putting you at risk of spiraling out of control again by giving SSS a go first?

I more or less just need a baseline of where I'm standing right now - as it is, my logs are completely empty, so honestly, I just don't know where I stand. I can clear all but V8S with no problems at the moment, though that is more of a gear issue that I'm trying to fix. I mostly want to be able to plug my log data into that analysis site that came out a little while ago, since it does give general feedback based on what was recorded. I'm only 361 right now, so raiding is completely out of the question for a good while.

While I've had fun this week with alphascape and the new dungeons, the fights that had a DPS check in them, I've had at least one run where the DPS check failed. I need to see what my logs are so I can see how much I contributed to those DPS checks not being met. At ilvl 361, something just doesn't feel right, but I have no idea what area I've messed up in.

tbf, you don't need great gear or great dps to beat the dps checks in NM raids. Whenever I see those failing it is 99% bc of deaths and weakness, so watch out for those first!

Agreed. I've gotten a grasp of most of the NM mechanics. Starboard/larboard caught me maybe twice, though that was mostly because of the boss turning towards one of the corners and that threw me off. Still, I don't like the fact that I'm getting carried, so hopefully soon I'll get a chance to actually see where I stand.

I'm gonna go ahead and close this out and say issue somewhat resolved. I asked somebody to gauge how I was doing, because I got a bit obsessive over being a detriment. According to what they have, I'm playing at a higher than average level...so I guess I owe everyone here an apology. I tend to not go by word or mouth about me being good, so I am pretty surprised. Anyhow, if, with this post, you feel I've wasted your time, then here's my apology for that. Still feel like...well, what I said, but I can't argue against data.
