Following-up, from my last post a few minutes ago. In literally the VERY NEXT DUNGEON, I queued up and got into Copperbell for the story clear, the moment I got in the healer says "I've been waiting four hours to get in here, you all should have food buffs." then he proceeds to afk, whatever. I make it 1 pull after he comes back and during the pull (which the healer isn't dpsing btw, so he's wasting time), I guess I ran out of range of the protect cast, and he says in party, "Tank,you need to wait for the protect idiot" so I just /goodbye and left the dungeon after the first pull.

Have fun with your 4 hour wait. I'm so done.

It's not uncommon to see wipes on Hashmal even now.

Yesterday was in a World of Darkness run that wiped on the first boss. Not even the first time that has happened.

Also multiple wipes in Dun Scaith to every boss that isn't Feridad or Proto-Ultima.

Just wanted to share that I had a tank rage-quit in a dungeon because I called them, "Mr. Tank" and not by their character's name.

Rabanastre was my first Alliance Raid. Imagine my reaction running into Hashmal and finding a boss that throws out instant death like candy coming off of mostly easy Story Mode bosses.

Especially when I went back to the older Raids and find most of the bosses there are nowhere near as punishing, save maybe Deathgaze.

Ah, you never experienced Weeping City or Dun Scaith during their haydays. It was uncommon to get a Weeping City party where the alliance DIDN’T wipe on Forgall or Ozma (and some times Calofisteri). It was also uncommon to get a Dun Scaith party where people didn’t wipe on, not only Deathegaze Hollow, but Scathach or Diabolos (Hollow). There was the occasional wipe to Feridad Hollow, too. The first boss of World of Darkness (Angry Mango) still wipes raids to this day. Come to think of it, the last time I had Dun Scaith, we actually wiped to Scathach because no one killed the add, and it got Final Swing off (just like the good ol’ days).

But most of the bosses that used to be hard are easier thanks to the wonky way level sync works, and subsequent nerfs to them when Stormblood came out (most of HW’s content was nerfed after its release, just like most of ARR’s content was nerfed when HW came out). Don’t underestimate what they were like in their prime, though. There’s a reason Weeping City alone was called “Wiping Shitty”...among other things.

Did you manage to ask why he, a caster with the same Role Actions as Black Mage, didn't have Resurrection on his hotbars?

No, I got kicked right after I informed them the second time that I couldn't rez.

Ignorance is one thing but for at least five of those people to actually agree with a vote kick because one caster can't rez?

Which god did you slight to end up in that mind melting scenario?

I hope I never ever ever end up in a group like that. Ever.

Maybe I'm just getting unlucky the last several times I entered the DF - I usually have smooth runs for the most part, then I run into parties like this that just makes me want to quit. Only thing that comes to mind for me is just to get better.

I don't see why people insist on renaming "Weeping City". It's the one place that cannot be blamed for false advertisement in the game.
