The email bug is such a well-known issue I honestly didn't feel the need to cover it in my response, I apologize if that caused confusion. That being said, the email bug has little and less to do with the "malfunctioning demo timer" you mentioned in your OP. That is the specific unsubstantiated rumor that caused a small panic on reddit and the OF a few weeks ago and that was the one I was pointing out needs to be clearly explained as a possible but not proven bug. The issue isn't that you stated it as fact, but that your OP was ambiguous enough that someone with little to no knowledge of the situation could read it, misunderstand, then go off and propagate the rumor in such a way that presents it as fact. And that's when things start to snowball.
