I see you picking fights and insulting people all the time on the forum. Take a break and chill out man.Hilarious how you would mention that your little survey is innacurate and then try to proceed to prove me wrong by using such a slight margin in playercount, which by the way, makes no mention on how many players actually meet the most basic requirement to purchase a personal house or an apartment
Oh and yes, there's enough plots to accommodate the players that meet the basic requirements for personal houses on the lowest populated server. Sorry darling, lvl10s can't purchase a personnal house.
Nice reminder about Gilgamesh's past situation I guess... look who's off-topic now
All I see is empty words, backed up with the 'feeling' that Gilgamesh has a larger population than Mateus.Hilarious how you would mention that your little survey is innacurate and then try to proceed to prove me wrong by using such a slight margin in playercount, which by the way, makes no mention on how many players actually meet the most basic requirement to purchase a personal house or an apartment
If you have any actual facts to back up this 'feeling' of yours, feel free to post them.
Somehow, you know how many of these active characters are lvl 10. I'd be interested in seeing the source of your information.Originally Posted by NotOliverB

It was related to the server's population. Gilgamesh's lockdown and subsequent decrease of its population is what caused it to no longer be the second most populated server.Originally Posted by NotOliverB

However, since it's unlikely that you have any actual numbers to show, this argument seems to be at its end.
If they allow cross planting in apartments (why don't we have balconies, seriously?) and give us far more space I might end up moving into an apartment instead so that I have one less demolition timer to worry about.
Normally I don't worry about them because I use my housing everyday, but with the recent rise in reports of malfunctioning demolition timers...I admit I am stressed![]()
It is a shame that apartments are denied proper gardening. I would have loved to have had that available for mine back before I was able to get my small house. Don't get me wrong, I love having a house now but I do wish there was more to do with the apartment as well. I also concur that a balcony would be a nice addition to the apartments. If they allow cross planting in apartments (why don't we have balconies, seriously?) and give us far more space I might end up moving into an apartment instead so that I have one less demolition timer to worry about.

Just put Oliver on your ignore list. He just posts on the forum to gloat about how many houses he has while he sits at open plots in game to aggressively buy more houses so he can try and sell them on reddit.
On topic, would be helpful is SE did make apartments larger and add the ability to cross-breed plants inside apartments. I'd also be fine with refunding everyone the value of their housing plots, scrap housing wards, and make just instanced housing with instanced gardens.

More apartment size options seem likely at this point. Adding new wards didn't adequately address demand issues on the high pop worlds. With house interiors are already instanced, it shouldn't be hard for them to link Apartment #X to interior size A when purchased. While new interior arrangements for apartment sizes (including balconies) would be nice, I don't know if they would do it when they've already got interiors that could be used.On topic, would be helpful is SE did make apartments larger and add the ability to cross-breed plants inside apartments. Last year (or maybe it was 2 years ago), there had been a question about adding intercross gardening to apartments and FC rooms. They said very flatly it would not be possible (something to do with intercross gardening being tied to zone day/night/weather cycles in the programming). I don't expect that to ever happen. I think SE wants the limitations on gardening to keep some of those items rare just as workshops have a limit on airships and submersibles to keep some of the items obtained through voyages rare. I also doubt there's enough demand for more access to intercross since gardening requires daily maintenance outside of a few seed types with short grow times. It's pretty rare when I go on one of my walking tours of a random ward that I'll see anything growing and it's usually shards or something chocobo related when there is.
There's no reason to scrap what houses currently exist. They could leave them at a premium price for those who want to pay and are willing to risk auto-demo. Better to stop adding new wards and start expanding apartments. They had said adding new wings for apartments is relatively easy to do when apartments were introduced. If so, they could open the door to multiple apartments per character. That would satisfy the majority of players who want multiple houses to decorate though they'd never be able to make everyone happy.
That's really odd to tie intercrossing to a zones day/night/weather cycle when you can already grow plants inside houses and apartments uses pot. Would make more sense if the plants growing itself was tied to day/night/weather and not intercrossing.More apartment size options seem likely at this point. And I was just saying I'd be fine with what could be a worse case scenario with removing housing wards but I doubt it will ever happen.
I might even prefer a balcony to a house and garden. I love the idea of seamlessly walking from the inside of my apartment into the balcony. Having indoors and outdoors in one instance would really be lovely. It is a shame that apartments are denied proper gardening. I would prefer instanced housing over what we have currently. Zones are mostly deserted. People do up their houses initially then abandon them usually apart from a few people who might visit their stabled chocobo or water plants.
It would be great if housing areas could be cross server. Might be asking for a lot but housing is pretty dead in final fantasy 14 and it would be good to have livelier housing zones somehow.
I'll take a large sized apartment... happily.Lets face it. We all know adding ward after ward is never going to fix the broken housing system. Its an exterior cell with limited capability. Let's also face that a lot of players (my self included) couldn't possibly care less about the exterior cell.
what we really want is an interior cell that isn't the size of an airship cabin. The Apartments we have now are horribly small. They have little to no functionality. What we need are larger interior cells. Their instanced their easier to come by and in my opinion they would go a long way to solving the broken housing system. At least for some of us.
That way the other players who actually want an exterior cell can fight among themselves, while we can finally have fun decorating a worth while home.
