Are there any rewards in Pagos that aren't materia?

The game is sorely lacking in gil sinks, so I don't mind the more exclusive rewards in Eureka being locked being RNG. If someone really wants a particular item they can either brave the grind and try their luck...or just buy it outright from the market board. At an inflated price, granted, though even at a casual pace gil isn't too hard to make in this game. I do agree that the game should stop leaning so heavily on materia as a reward, though. It practically throws it players these days so selling it on the market board often isn't wise and leaning on transmutation is just another layer of RNG and one that can be rather tedious and time consuming to engage in.

That's not a gil sink.
A gil sink is designed to remove gil from the game - i.e selling stuff to a vendor, the market board tax on purchases, housing etc.

All I know for amount of cold lock boxes I have opened in Pagos . I would had 5 redmage barding and 5 trex mounts. Since opened over 300 of them and in Anemos opened 200 and got 5 mounts and 5 bardings. Rng in Pagos is way to high. How high it is don't even care anymore about emote or drops. Once get my second weapon never stepping foot in Pagos again till they make some major improvements to it. Why waste time when 99% of items get is worthless material.

I wish I got materia, all I get are mushrooms and lizards tails with the odd confetti thrown in. That said I got my weapon today so as far as im concerned now Pagos may as well not exist anymore. Im never going in there again. My hands have all the dexterity of an OAP thanks to it they need a rest

What seems to me is that SE made this way to stimulate the market bored but Only Some are going to benefit. Any item at the moment is worth minimum five mil. to Some 5 million is a lot

On lamia it seems a lot of people must do it, tarutaru minion is 750k. Cassie is 6 mil but thats not expensive at all, relatively. The Private Moai is 4 mil. I think hunting hawk was like 20 mil at peak. For all the dislike, there's a decent amount of people who seem to like it enough to drop prices. Harmony potions actually are affordable now.

..and to be honest, I don't mind it, even knowing its faults. If you just do the logs, the mobs are easy to kill if you solo/duo/light party them. I think people were just trying to hardcore rush it, and learned not all grinds can be that.

I think though that they shouldn't have put the relic here. They should have kept it like before, and made this give its own gear. Experiemental content + relic is not a good idea.

I’m so sick of getting materia. The double RNG is horrendous. I’m glad ppl are getting lucky and getting items but this content is a forced deidum which failed epicly. Except with Eureka if you want your relic it must be done. The grind is too intense. Needs must be made now while ppl are still playing content bc in 1-2 months Eureka will be a ghost instance just like diedum
