So far in the span of ~10 pages, especially with the comment made against someone who wanted to play 1.0 and couldn't about "participation prize, doesn't count": that is absolutely lording it over someone that NYAH NYAH I HAVE IT AND YOU DON'T, AND YOU DON'T DESERVE IT LIKE I DO. The comment was incredibly rude and uncalled for.

Like seriously. To take some words from the late, great, Chester Bennington: IN THE END IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER. Why the <kupo> does it matter if someone who played 1.0 who wasn't able to get the earrings, even if they played all the way through from 1.0-1.23b or someone who started in 2.0 who wasn't able to play at the time but maybe wanted to, get this item? Go outside, touch some grass, and calm down. Dang.

It's already been said before, if you don't care that the devs have been breaking even more of their promises that's your choice.

Unless something is put in to writing and the ToS is updated every single time to reflect that guarantee, then a promise is not binding. A government can promise to do a certain policy but they can quite easily change their mind, things happen. It's fine to feel strongly about certain things, but getting too emotionally involved over something that isn't actually real (i.e. earrings) can often set yourself up for disappointment.

Where is the promise that they won't release the earrings after 1.0? Where did they actually promise anything about this?

When they said the content was intended for 1.0 they likely referred to the boss, not the earrings. I seriously doubt they think a pair of earrings can clash with the story. But the presence of a npc who is dead before ARR launch certainly would. As for the earrings not being available in ARR, this is still true because they came during the SB expansion, not in any ARR patches.

You really need to stop reading things SE didn't actually say. They didn't promise anything. They only clarified that certain content won't be available during ARR.

I'm really starting to wonder whats hard about reading what they did say.

Are we really cherry picking that they mentioned ARR when ARR was the definition of everything after 1.0 shut down at the time? ARR wan't an expansion, it was a tagline for the relaunch of the game.
