the alternative is to wait out a sizeable portion of your time trying to get enough people of the right level together. Are the people saying chaining is more efficient taking the time it takes to form a group into account? Or have I just been very unlucky?

most of the chainers might be getting their groups by making them on pf instead of making them on the instance, you still have to wait on that situation anyway

Yes, when I went in there was one PF group for people over lvl 30 and the second time none. It seems like you should be prepared for a wait whichever way you try to do it. At least Anemos was somewhere you could pretty much jump straight in. A level-synch would help so much.

SE what the heck is going on in the creativity department? Please add something to the mindless killing. My fingers hurt and I'm only level 5 in Anemos. If Pagos is just like this then this isn't worth it. If dying from boredom waiting on fate trains or carpal tunnel is your way of fun then I'll pass.

When I was in there yesterday, I didn't see much in the way of toxic behavior and people were being rezzed. However, it was only one group session and a small amount of a solo session for challenge log.

I only join PFs with a level range or more often than not create a pf. Some people just wait for someone else to create a PF.

Lower levels are often getting shunned in the train now. People are impatient and start killing NMs at the 27-minute mark. Since it can take a good five minutes for a sub-30 to reach anything on the north side of the map, if you don't stick with the train, you're not getting EXP. There have been tons of angry shouts between the different level disparities.

Wasn’t that the norm in Anemos for a while? It wasn't until the bulk of the train had access to mounts/aetherites were people ferrying others around in decent numbers.

The sleeping dragons are a significant source of delays for the lower level players. When you have to spend 30 seconds walking around them instead of riding right past, it really makes it harder to get there in time.

People that are high or maxed out now leveled on the southern half of the map, until their elemental level was high enough.

Them aetheryte level restrictions are ludicrous and arbitrary at best. To add to an already poorly designed leveling system they make it so you cannot get to NMs on the north side of the map before someone pulls and kills them. Missed 4/5 nms today before I threw my hands up and logged out.

I swear between the poorly designed content, the extreme gaps between anything new and the fact that nothing ever stays relevant for more than a single patch anyway and apparently never will be I am about to give up on FFXIV, and I have been here since v1 beta. There are just too many games that have a superior experience out there right now. I really think they are running on name recognition and Japanophilia right now.

V1 was more fun and entertaining than SB in its current state, and that is saying something.

Has anybody tried light farming the monsters in the chimera room near louhi? I feel the monster type and location could potentially mean better light than the dragons? Haven't tried myself but since it's been said the best method has yet to be found it's been annoying me a little groups keep going to dragons and don't seem to want to try anything else just in case it isn't better and we lose the dragon spot...

So has anyone tried it? It was also advertised in the preview of pagos so perhaps there was something to it.
