Last I checked we have Samurai. And please none of the whole, "they wield a Katana nonsense" Katana literally means sword, so yeah you and a bunch of other people got your Sword DPS.
You got me there! I was just so into my rant.

Ther responses were worth reading. I tagged my post as (rant), because I know Square-Enix probably won't change any of this stuff. I'm mad about it, but I'm not expecting any change. I just needed to vent. Just to answer two of your questions before I forget! When I said I hate that you can't look up. I mean that in first-person view, you literally cannot look straight up. You can do that in basically any other game that lets you use first-person view.

And the "I hate that I can't queue up in a solo instance while in a group" was in relation to the annoyance of having to drop a group to run it, and therefore being unable to talk to that person. I'm not expecting them to join me. Just not mechanically force the group to separate. It gives a same error with the chocobo companion out as well. It should just auto dismiss him--rather than making it convoluted.

I'll repeat this one, because it bothers me a lot and you asked!

Every time I've manually glamoured my wedding ring--I've accidentally overrode it later with a glamour plate. So I've just given up in frustration. I like glamour plates, because I can change my outfit like 5+ times a day--which I enjoy. But it's not very viable for trying to keep something like a wedding ring on your finger. I'd gladly throw away the teleport to display the ring. Or maybe give us two rings. One for 'use' and one for 'show.'

Glad to see you knew all of my responses were in good fun, XD

and Yeah I get this one, I had something similar when making a glamour recently, it wasn't as bad but I get it. And I actually agree, I would love to have my rings appearance on 24/7 too, but sadly it cannot be, T.T

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

You can leave the ring slots blank on the plates, and they wont overwrite you glamour.

    LOL OMG that raptor picture.

Thanks everyone for cheering me up. I'm glad this ended up being a lot more positive than it started!

Yes he has and that to me is a problem when the game producer is basically saying if you don't want to play our way go somewhere else. That has been one of my biggest beefs with SE that they really don't listen to the player base or make sure they really understand what the players are saying and instead tend to blow them off as noise.

I believe it was more "We have no problems with people unsubbing at times to play other games" not "yeah, go play other games instead of this one"

    He gets misquoted a lot.

I think the problem is that you technically destroy the itmes when you put them into the dresser or armoire and when you take them out the game creates a whole new item.

but on that ring is a name and date saved wich will get lost in that process. not even will you never be able to teleport again, you likely will also lose the option to get divorced from your partner, because i think the game will explode when you try that without owning the (correct) ring.

It was a lot of fun! I won't deny that.
Big part of the problem right here, me thinks. You have to take into account that a MMO game and its expansions can only remain fresh for so long. You can only experience something the first time, one time. A lot of the excitement deflates once you're max level and waiting for the next patch in order to progress. If you're just into keeping gear up to date and running the latest content, you're going to run out of stuff to do REAL fast. Even more so the fewer jobs you level.

I've observed that players whose interests remain high from patch to patch are those who are struggling to get caught up before new content is released. Their playtime is less than what's necessary to accomplish all their goals before the patch drops so they basically developed a perpetual system that prevents them from getting bored so long as SE continues to release content at the rate they do. The drawback is you're not in the battle arena of a fresh instance on day one. But when I think back to the days of all the Raubahn EX threads, I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing.

Yoshi P says something about "something new, and exciting, and innovating" coming out in Stormblood. Oh my god what is it? What's this new thing? I still don't know what this thing is. Was it just misguided hype?
Help me understand something here. You're in a guild that can't clear all the current raid bosses, but you want more than four? So I am guessing you've made additional clears running content outside your FC. If so, why? Why are you not continuously working together to get past your challenges? This is what functional guilds do. Is it different time schedules, lack of interest from other members?

By SE promising something new, it really just sounds like you got your hopes up too high. I'm only 63 and got into SB maybe a month ago, but I notice nothing but new stuff. Now they obviously used the same template from HW for content release, but it's still new. Despite the fact that I have run countless dungeons, I was still super excited to run Sirensong as soon as it was in my Duty Finder. But if we want to go away from that, SB brought underwater exploration, something that was not previously possible in 1.0, ARR, or HW. This was totally new to the game.

I know this is a rant post, but this is complete and total BS. Selective feedback is not the same as complete dismissal of it. SE can't make everyone happy, and if you are not under the umbrella of the current issues they are addressing then that sucks, but it's in SEs best interest keep people paying their subs, which doesn't happen if they completely dismiss player feedback. The entire state of the game, as is, is almost entirely based on player feedback. FFXIV is hardly a unique MMO as far as the game's engine goes. Very few concepts in this game is an original idea of SEs. It takes concepts from other successful MMOs that have received positive feedback from the playerbase. There isn't even a need to name examples. Just log on and rotate your camera.

As with everyone else who rants, I ask if you are at the point that you are no longer enjoying the game? If you are at that point, and hardly putting any time into the game then you have to determine if the continued cost of your sub is worth it.
