Certainly enough to assume, but if they didn't specifically say the White Raven earrings will never be available again, particularly while there are other items that are still exclusive to legacy players, then they are not breaking any promises by making that item available again eventually.

You can be disappointed that they're being made available, but you can't say they promised to never do it. (Or certainly can't say that quote proves they promised to never do it.)

And I still think it's possible that the Stormblood items are the cheap giveaways, and they might make us work harder for the earrings.

What crock. Rivenroad Hard wasn’t something from 1.0, It was the last instanced fight introduced. That clearly falls in the “battles” and “achievement rewards” that will be “exclusive to that period”.

They said there were items exclusive to that period in the Seventh Umbral Era. We had every reason to believe that the hardest fight specifically from that time would have an exclusive item, we trusted the devs with what they were saying, and the whole point of it was to get us to trust that they would turn the game around .

To put it into perspective, when people promise each other to stay together "'Til death do us part", that's usually about 8-11 years with no deaths involved.

This promise lasted for 6 years. So they're about 30-80% more shady than the average person as far as breaking one's word goes.
