If you don't want anything more from gardening than to get the resulting items, you can buy them off the marketboard. Instead of hiring an NPC to do it for you, you'd effectively be hiring players to do it for you, but it amounts to the same thing.Call me lazy, but I want to be able to hire an NPC gardener who can 'tend' things for me automatically. Having to log in every day just to click on a few plants feels like a waste of time. Even better would be some kind of interface where I can plan a garden, hand over soil and seeds, and have the gardener take care of planting/harvesting/tending/replanting for x number of days (maybe 30?).
Thank you for the suggestion, but I'm not interested in just buying things off the MB. That is not a satisfactory solution to a post about improving the gardening feature.
I am not only interested in gardening items, nor did I ever claim to be in my post. I am interested in planning the garden, gathering the seeds and soil, and planning a path to an item. I like exploring the gardening system. I am ok with waiting for the plants to mature. I like playing solo and get a lot of satisfaction from being self-sufficient. I also, like the OP, do not like the daily log in to click all the plants. RL happens, and I am not always available to log in every day to click plants. I'm making a suggestion for what I think would be an interesting housing feature. I am not asking someone to troubleshoot my lack of enjoyment of plant clicking by suggesting I totally disengage from the gardening feature. If I didn't like gardening I wouldn't be posting here in the first place.
