1.) The app should have no premium currency nor service period. Even Bungie, who has dived headfirst into the microtransaction ecosystem feetfirst with a smile, does not require a premium service to access every option of the app. I used it, and I only paid for PS+. World of Warcraft does not offer a premium service either to utilize all functions of the app. The fact it has premium anything is an insult. I can get behind the kupo nut system to combat rampant undercutting of the economy, but I cannot get behind everything else.
2.) I pay the subscription fee to have 8 characters (I have 4, only 2 of which I play) and I have bought items on the Mogstation that I wanted, such as past event items I missed, a story/level skip for my Alt, and other costume items like the maid outfit and princess dress as I wanted - because they were optional, and I know that the Mogstation is supposed to go directly to the development team. Ok, I can understand and be ok. If that's changed, my purchases will end after the Fenrir bike that's for sure.
With that said: forcing me to pay 5 dollars for an app subscription per month to access more inventory space and another retainer is bollocks. It is wrong. This is not a free to play game and Square Enix is not an indie developer, they have studios and teams all over the world, with multiple games coming out in the next six months. This is a money grabbing attempt if I ever saw one, and I played GTAO for YEARS. Now it feels as if Square Enix is attempting to nickel and dime us to the nth degree, and it seriously is angering me. I love this game, I enjoy my classes and the story, the friends I have made in the game and the items I have earned and bought.
I complained about the app before I stepped foot on these forums, so this is all of what I have felt since it was announced.
3.) Inventory should not be locked behind yet another subscription. If they wished to tie it to the app, giving it to us for signing up on the free plan to encourage us to download it? Fine. Add an advertisement for Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts, etc while the game is loading - literally I would not care if you advertised your products will the app loaded. People might. I won't. But locking more inventory space, something I want because I like keeping my glamours on me and not rely on the 10 plates of the dresser all the time, frustrates me.
Please no one use the premium service, please. Let it crash and burn, and maybe they'll treat us with more respect.
But who am I kidding, I'm just so no-one kid from Pallet Town.
