The game uses fixed jumping, i.e. your jumps have a set distance and can't be altered or adjusted in midair. Kind of like the prinny games for PSP. You have a "tap" jump which is one distance and you do by tapping plus jumping, and a long jump you hold and jump. But because you can't adjust jumps in midair, the difficulty is that you overshoot your target a lot. And have to redo a lot of jumping to get back up.
Plus they like to make platforms a lot smaller in visual appearance then they really are. So you have to ignore them, a lot of times you need to land on what is empty air due to the fixed jump.
I did it, i just chuckled because its so SE. You either can deal with jumping puzzles or dislike them, they really aren't all that likable.

There are multiple distances of jumps based on whether you were walking/running before and how long. While the distance can't be adjusted midair, the direction can.
Not that I like ff14 jumping, but the idea that it's 100% set is just incorrect.
Anyway,
People have asked in various forums for more jump puzzles. It's not laziness to listen to what people ask for, especially for something like moonfire faire which is always a very small event that's supposed to be a giveaway of easy prizes (like emotes).. They ask for it so much that 4.4 will even come with a new MGP event that's going to be a jump puzzle. Tell people, especially in JP, to stop asking for jump puzzles

They are all fixed distances though, and the distance is set once you commit You can't change direction in midair, only on the ground. Most modern games don't actually use this, you control your distance directly and can adjust your jump in midair. Its more of an old school approach and it tends to be used in tough games like Prinny: Can i really be the hero? and Ghosts and Goblins. Kind of an acquired taste, which is why we don't see much use of it in anything but optional content.
Majority of this is incorrect... I could explain so much. But I would say just play the game, experiment, use different classes like ninja animation,... The ones for the quest are okay. I’m not a fan of the optional one though.
I've really liked this one.
The optional challenge climb is great.

I didn't realize i have a vertigo and fear of height until i attempted the jumping tower puzzles. Just as I had to leave the jumping towers incomplete. I'll just have to sit this one out also and pay SE $15 a year from now to get the outfit. Way for SE to be inclusive!
I mean without seeming insensitive to your vertigo and fear of height, but the height of the final stage is barely as high as the first 2 stages done. Besides, you only need to finish that repeatable quest and then another quest pops back by the Endless Summer Isle (Where you picked the quest up) for the outfit. Anything beyond that turn-in is optional and not required for the outfit. Worst case scenario you can just shout for someone to pilot you up then on a 2 seat mount. Pretty sure someone would happily pilot you on a mount

I enjoyed the event. It's different from what we normally get, I had fun doing the jump puzzle, and the emote is nice.
