Probably. Why would SE pick and choose who they grandfathered and who they didn't? I'd say if they met the requirements pre 4.2patch, even a Balmung account(or other crowded servers) is/are safe.

Safe for now, remember it say gameplay experience requirements may change over time somewhere in the ToS... could care less.. it is mostly some of the attitude from some of the people involved in it that bothers me.. and that part should bother SE as well, they should had enforced the new rules like any other company would had done with a proper warning of course of when or put a limit on how many houses there can be per account which could be nailed down to 1 house and 1 FC house fair and square.
We don't own our accounts either at all, we rent the account from SE to play on their terms and signed a contract for it for being able to play the game as well, guess only thing we do own is a copy of the game whether digital or box version.

The larger issue is that retroactively removing people's houses wouldn't make a dent in the perceived issue anyway. The whining would start again after the 2.5 seconds it takes for the tiny amount of extra houses were depleted AND it would piss off multiple house owners. It's a lose lose and they shouldn't do it.

The problem is, people are way to short sighted to even think of this, which is unfortunate. They would rather be angry with each other instead of looking at the bigger picture. Glad to see some people can see the real problem at least.

Actually most companies grandfather customers who would have something taken away from them with new rules of purchase or play. I think SE, who is the only entity that knows the true number of multiple house owners, determined it was better all around to allow people keep what they had rather than face further player ire for taking away something that would not provide any relief to the housing shortage. As I've also said they have a real money problem as well with the cash shop purchases if they start yanking houses out from under players who did nothing wrong.Safe for now, remember it say gameplay experience requirements may change over time somewhere in the ToS... could care less.. it is mostly some of the attitude from some of the people involved in it that bothers me.. and that part should bother SE as well, they should had enforced the new rules like any other company would had done with a proper warning of course of when or put a limit on how many houses there can be per account which could be nailed down to 1 house and 1 FC house fair and square.

Of course there is. Why would there be not?
While I can't predict the future i have a very hard time seeing SE taking away houses that been purchased legitimately and followed the rules. Imagine the PR nightmare. I would also argue that housing purchase and use is not a gameplay experience, it's a fluff thing like glamour.
This isn't the first time we'll see this kind of comment and it will not be the last. Housing problems have been around for at least 3 years by now and no changes apart from recently with 4.2 purchase (for new plots) taken effect.
I do not forsee any retroactive adjustments being made. It makes no sense from a business perspective.

exactly. I just love how they can get away with posting how they broke the rules, and attack people.
