The music, the atmosphere, flows well with /cheerwave. The only thing missing is NPC voiceovers xD. Hopefully the next expansion will have something better xD.

Agreed. I like the Far Eastern concept of Kugane a lot. Hopefully next expansion we would get more Far Eastern / Doma inspired items.
Kugane will be hard to top. I think it is one of the most beautiful and impressive areas they've added to the game. I'm really glad that they managed to make it a single zone rather than split into two sections with a loading screen between them. Feels more immersive that way.
It's a shame Kugane been dead (well until 4.36). They should had made Kugane a hub instead of Rhalgar's imo.
Kugane is beautiful, but for aesthetics and music both I think that Foundation/Pillars are better. They just absolutely nail the whole stately, imposing grandeur of Ishgard. But when you look closer, you can see the less fine side of the city- the damage the dragons have done and the downtrodden in the Brume. It really adds character to the whole thing and I just love it.
Imo, the only thing Kugane has on it is a better layout; it's great not having a city split by a loading screen.

Ishgard seems too depressing and cold xD.
Personally not a fan of Kugane. The whole layout just seems really bland to me. I think it's mostly I don't like how... square the whole map is.
Look at this. It's almost entirely straight angles.
My favorite city would probably be Ishgard.
Kugane is nice but because they made it into one complete zone, that makes the place more laggy than Limsa on a busy night imo. Ishgard and the starter cities are fine cause they split them up into different zones meaning the zones are somewhat lag free. But Kugane, being one complete city zone, makes it a lag fest, and a fps nightmare, especially in the marketplace. I don't spent any time in Kugane anymore unless its for story quests or I wanna record sightseeing videos. But as far as staying in the town to walk around or afk, no thanks. I'll take Rhalger's anyday.
We have yet to see Bukyo.Kugane will be hard to top. I think it is one of the most beautiful and impressive areas they've added to the game.
