    In my opinion and for the next update (5.0):
    • I’d like Arcanist to be reworked into a Necromancer as debuffer, or Oracle.
    • Summoner has to be deeply reworked and leave debuffs for the Arcanist (now necromancer)
    • Rogues have to be separated from ninja, and reworked into a thief (or stay rogue) with high survival abilities in hard environments and have “Steal”. Ninja should be reworked into a stealth class with Kamas or other ninja weapons. Thief to use single or dual daggers, with the option of single or dual swords
    • Scholar should be a class, and leveled from level 1, as it happens now, many summoners who level this class for ‘free’ don’t know how to operate it
    • Dark knight should be leveled from level 1, and also astrologian and machinist. No more classes directly from level 50 or even worse, 60 (RDM and SAM)
    • Make some of the dungeons in the game harder and non-instanced as in FFXI, or at least the dungeons for the new expansion, a geomancer would very much need this.
    • Make the world of FFXIV a lot more dangerous, or at least some of the areas, but leave others for solo players as well. I can see that classes like Ninja and Thief would excel in these areas when traveling solo (for obvious reasons).
    • Give me a proper BST already. Shhhhh! Give it to me.
    • Add elemental system (fire, dark, water, holy, wind, ice, unaspected, earth, thunder) and make those count. You know a future Geomancer would be awesome with those in place. Make enemies weak to some elements and strong against others, as in most final fantasy games.
    • Add a Support role. I know it’s hard for duty queues, but do believe me that support jobs will be very much loved and needed. It’s up to you how to implement this.
    • Let some of the classes switch roles (dps drk, support or dps ast, tank sam, and so on) and let them use more than one type of weapon
    • Finally a small thing - I would like AST to have some nice skills for that sword (or knife) he is carrying. I think this is quite doable

    Yeah, I know some people will bark at me with sentences like “this is not ffxi” or “support roles would be a nightmare for queues!” and also “adding dps option to tanks would make no tanks at all for queues!”.

    As it stands

    - tanks would be getting a dps option, but other dps would also get a tank option.
    - open world leveling would make a geomancer possible, and the game more dangerous and harder, people would use party finder more.
