Still better than the skirt that the ladies got - the skirt, that disappears if you put on 90% of tops in the game, even if they wouldnt clip (horribly).
At least your pants are going to be visible! ...okay, granted, they're kinda ugly, so maybe you dont really want them to be visible...
Wasn't that a bug in general introduced last patch? I recall seeing some pants that lost visible elements to them with certain shirts.

Maybe if you wear it with the right thing, the 'skirt' layer vanishes and you're left with just the pants?
But seriously, I wonder how it will interact with long boots.
Also that Elezen (or rather, his hairstyle) seems like a very poor choice for demonstrating the hat.
Ah, no, I expressed my self poorly: Its only the skirt-part that vanishes. You're left with the tights and some slight modified underwear so it seems intentional. And it does make some sense for the skirt to vanish if you wear some long robes that it would clip through - but it also does that with a lot of pieces that wouldnt (horribly) clip. I tried the Rads-at-Han-Shirt earlier again and the skirt-part still disappears.

Ugly pants? Really?
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥

Shirts do not seem to hide the shorts, but any thigh boot (knee length boots tuck under the shorts, gotta be thigh high to hide them) will.nvm lol they just get tucked in. You can't hide the shorts :')
Having tried on the set on the mb it sure is...something. I think the hat will probably get the most use haha

I just experimented with it on my male character as well. It's one of those sets that's probably never going to get used as a set but the pieces might be salvageable.
The shorts actually look decent tucked into long boots - it still has the soft gathered texture and the distinct belt, but isn't... well, whatever those are trying to be the rest of the time. I probably wouldn't buy them just for that, but it might be exactly what someone needs for the look they're after.
The top dyes nicely (the shirt takes on the dye colour and the vest turns darker), and the sleeves tuck into long gloves - so could be easily made into a "long-sleeved shirt" similar to what people already do with the Royal Seneschal's top. Also, necklaces remain visible under the collar.
I don't like the hat, for either gender. It looks awkward.
Anyway I might get the shirt eventually - there aren't enough vest-and-shirt combos in this game (for my taste anyway). A few of the fancy glamour shirts look like they're supposed to go under a vest, but of course you can't add one!
Still, those pants. What were they thinking. Before they revealed it I was hoping we'd get something like it, intent-wise, but was expecting something with gathered knee-length pants.
I'll be very interested to see what price they go for!
