I believe duties should be gated by your main stat and weapon damage. It's really annoying when people keep dying and you check your healer and it's like:

I'm like 99% sure that's Jump Potion gear (because the green ring) WHICH COMES WITH A SHIRE WEAPON. That just makes things even worse because they're purposely using a terrible weapon.

They may have jumped a different Healer and just held on to the gear. Not that that makes it any better...

So me and my 2 of my buds in my FC tried to PUG for Rathalos Ex. Got a SMN so we think : "Cool this gonna go great."
Except it did not.
The dude was just a huge troll. He would just stand there and take hits, not share his devotion (only for himself) and refused to do the mechanics.
Like when he was supposed to mount the boss, he didn't. When asked about it he replied : "I know".
So why didn't you do it you terrible person ?
But on phase 2 he thought it would be funny to not share the stack markers. He would always run from them.
When called on his behaviour, he decided to DC'd until the last 15 minutes.
We waited, he came back but was obviously still AFK, and left him alone...also reported (by one of my friends).

Thank you too you and your 2 friends having patience, what this actually is as far as I can see.... 1 of the major downfalls on the Chaos Data Centre.... Language Barrier >_<, they probably weren't ignoring you, they most likely didn't understand a thing you said.
At least you didn't go out your way to make some 1 hate you xD, I'm by no means innocent, I just kind of watch and stare as a healer when some 1 seems like a bot in their gameplay (demon pads in glubal)

I've a few of these.
Running Praetorium for about the 100th time as a Paladin when the other tank another paladin (first timer) proceeds to ask to main tank as "Tanking is his thing".
No problem.
We were fine until he used every cooldown he had before pulling anything then running at them. He managed to die about three times before we got to the Colossus. I tried explaining it to him politely not to do click every cooldown as soon as it came off cooldown (even outside of battle). He kept doing for the entire run. Managed to get through it thanks to an over-burdening SCH that managed to keep the dude alive somehow. Despite not listening he said thanks at the end, so at least the dude was polite.
The second was tanking Sushi of the Violent Fishtank. I was pretty new to tanking, and had the chat log off because I was invested in an FC conversation. This was back around the beginning of Stormblood where people were new with RDM and SAM. So I got into the dungeon, doing small pulls with an RDM and SAM couple that complained I wasn't pulling everything in big groups of 5 or 6. Which was funny because neither of them were particularly levelled. Since when do DPS dictate pace of casual dungeons? I opened the chat log every so often and they were complaining, but said nothing the entire run as I was concentrated on the actual dungeon. We cleared it a decent enough time (25 is minutes?). I opened the chat at the end of the run, both the dude and his waifu RDM were complaining to each other and had said to me multiple times "Noob tank, idiot, must be a bot, who doesn't big pull etc.", after every pull.
Then the agreed to report me over it. So I just stood there, about to leave until I realised we got the dungeon rapier as loot. I rolled for it and after a minute I got it. I politely said "I wonder if bots can manipulate loot odds too", then /laugh'd at both of them, and left.

I'm not sure but.... I think I may have just had a summoner who was dismissing her pet after boss battles.
I can't be certain because I didn't notice early enough to confirm it - but after the second boss I heard the "evaporating summon" noise, which could have been that it got killed at the last second of the battle but I don't think so. I also noticed she was summoning early in that battle, but didn't think anything of it at the time. In any case she didn't resummon it until we got to the final boss.
(And of course it was Aurum Vale. Not a fun run, whether that was the problem or not.)

This thread is probably gonna be super tired of Rath EX stories, but our first run we had a SMN that was dying to telegraphed aoes (the burn one in particular) and blamed our healer for not "cleansing" them.
After our first wipe, they told the healer to learn how to heal.
The healer that had Bis and an Ultima weapon.
No one else was dying to the burn debuff/aoe except for them.
When we called them out on it, they said we were harassing them ans they're reporting us and saying they weren't gonna try anymore and just stood in every aoe on purpose after that.
Probably the first time I ever saw a "healers adjust" type of mentality and I'm shocked there are players like this-

So one time in Exdeath normal I got a WAR and a DRK as tanks.
The funny part is that the WAR had "Chad" in his name. What did I do upon seeing that ?
"The virgin DRK vs the chad WAR." I said.
Chat joined on the meme wagon, even the tanks during the whole fight.
Never laughed as much in the game. Hope these guys are doing fine cause I would love to meet them again someday.
