People are always quick to say "oh, they'll never cross that line!", but you have to remember people were claiming that SE wouldn't move beyond cosmetic items when the shop first opened. The line keeps getting pushed back further, and they have had defenders every step of the way.
So on this particular matter, we'll just have to agree to disagree. If ever SE decided to go completely stupid and add jobs (or something else to this extreme, maybe a race?), I am pretty damn certain you would still have people defending it. As mentioned, all the usual defenses would still apply - so to them, what's the harm, right?
We each have our own personal level for what we find acceptable in the cash shop. To you, crossing the line would be adding jobs - but why? A new job isn't essential in any way. We already have plenty of jobs to choose from! They could always add one in a patch, and then add one "exclusive" job to the cash shop. What's essential to you is not going to be the same for everyone, and the defenders will be there.
