Once I was running Alliance Roulette on SCH and I ended up with an AST. They went Noct and when I informed them that our shields would overwrite each other and they should consider going into Di to make things easier, they responded with, "It's not my fault you chose to be SCH. Next time you should be more considerate of who you might get as a healing partner and go WHM or AST so you're not such a burden." Thankfully they were removed pretty quick, but...crazy ASTs are out there, lol.

So I'm leveling monk for funzies, roulette gives me Dzemael Darkhold. Load in with a paladin, black mage, and a healer whose class I can't remember. Right as we get to the first crystal section, I notice everything is dying kinda slowly. I'm still fumbling with the monk rotation (especially AoE), so I didn't stop to question it. I looked up after the mobs died to find that the healer left altogether. Cue fifteen minutes of random emoting waiting for the next one.

The next healer, an astrologian, shows up. Near as I can tell, she was watching Netflix while playing, or multitasking some other way. I've never had the tank die on so many trash pulls before. Then again, I also never saw a single cooldown from the tank. It's hard to tell who was at fault there. I managed to pop Bloodbath and pseudo-tank a couple of pulls, but we must have wiped 3 or 4 times on trash.

Oh, and everything still died slowly. We had 30 minutes left on the timer at the end. No idea what the black mage was doing.

I don't even know what just happened.

Load into WC as my wife and I have been trying to get the pet. 1st sign of trouble: Our tank shouts about his current state of sobriety, or lack thereof. Alrighty, gonna be one of THOSE runs. I'm on my WHM and prepare myself as best as I can.

Get to first boss, other party tank is holding aggro - fine. Our tank is standing in front of the boss fighting for aggro while eating the radius attacks... okie dokey. I'm certain he went into the fight in stance - but I noticed after he ripped established aggro, his stance was somehow magically gone. I just heal through it and see how long he's gonna tank in NO stance. We get through the boss and start on the trash...…

My wife says something about his stance on the zone to Forgall as he STILL didn't have it on. He again replies about his lack of sobriety. At this point I'm just ready for the lolz and kick back and watch it unfold. Again he rips aggro from the other tank who was actually doing ok - dying twice to megadeath, the 2nd of which I just let him lay there and think about what he had done. Forget about the add phase - which was a hot mess. I kept eyeballing the alliance bars and cringing at the lack of people still standing as I healed through the awful.

Get to Ozma... Amazed he didn't walk off the edge as he pulls before everyone is there. Tanks in the dead center of the platform, Why? Who knows. Thankfully he falls off rather quickly and the other tank takes control. He gets a rez (not from me) and proceeds to drop his meteor precisely where he had been tanking - causing us to nearly wipe as I blow through every CD and AoE heal I have. /Facepalm. Yet again, very few standing at the end of the fight - amazed we made it through with the terrible meteor placement.

Last boss, almost over.... He goes to MT but thankfully the other party tank keeps aggro over him. YET - he continues to stand in front and eat the cleaves and a few haircuts. I toss a regen on him and wish him godspeed as he eats pretty much every mechanic, along with one of the dps (same server turns out - guessing possibly queued together but can't prove that) He continues to fight for aggro through the fight, provoking and managing to occasionally grab the boss for a second before the other tank takes him back. Yet again, not many left standing when the boss dropped and our tank had managed to die to a Garotte so he was keeping the floor warm when we finally get through that mess.

Naturally, pet drops, neither myself or my wife roll over a 20 - par for the course. I leave there ASAP after loot is distributed and proceed to make room on my blacklist for 2 more players..... Bright side I leave with 5 coms, not sure it was worth the 40 minutes of nightmare fuel I had to suffer through to get it.

Ah, don't feel bad for me. I honestly find it just as funny now as I did back then. If anything, props to that party for having my back. I think one guy said "Jeez" and then the kick was launched and done with in about ten seconds.

I guess that AST wasn't....BENEFIC-ial to the party hahahaha...that was terrible. As a fellow SCH I can say that I Succ....or am I ? (I'll stop please don't hit me)

Huh, I don't know what's with people lately. Whenever I ask people stuff like "Please turn darkside on", or "please stack the adds together" or "please use your cds" or whatever, people start mocking me calling me the XIV police. Sometimes it's the players I'm not even talking to -.- And honestly, they seem to be the saltiest people ever, because a single sentence triggers them so much to the point they would constantly talk about it. When they start their show, I simply ignore them, but it's beyond annoying, it makes me look like I'm the bad guy of the movie just for asking something that would be benefitial for the group. :/

And what if we get a Diu AST that refuses to swap, what, should you just go SCH or AST... and then what if you get a double AST, and they tell you when they constantly overwrite your cards "Should have gone WHM or AST" - you can't win with their attitude. Glad they got their butt booted out pretty quickly. The point of AST is that it can adapt to shields or regens... you know, it's a bit of both. WHM and SCH can't swap. What I truly want to say about that ASS-T would get me banned.
