Well... you've been probably generating aggro from healing aswell - I'm sure you're aware that WHMs can generate a lot of aggro, from stuff like Regen-ticks or Cure III alone... every DPS also has aggro dropping tools - I dont know wether or not you used yours, but if you didnt and the casters did you have another reason for their aggro to be lower.

Now, maybe you really did generate most of that aggro by dpsing - and its not unlikely for the DPS in runs like this to be shitty, we've all been there... but I feel that this is a good time to remind everyone that aggro-meters are only giving you an idea about the dps you're putting out and that there are perfectly fine reasons for a healer, specially a WHM with those big heals, to be at the top of the aggro-list in such a fight - healing-aggro and aggro-dropping tools being only two of those.

Aye, I am very aware that healing generates enmity, as well as the fact that other jobs also have skills to lower hate. I've only ever taken the in-game aggro rating as a rough indication, however, I stayed in the top 3 for a long time. A healer should not be that high up. D:

ANNNND I just got out of a lakshmi trial(AGAIN), and one of the SCHs died early on... The living SCH left their cohealer on the floor for 80% of the fight, but kept raising the DPS that were dying.

It's then that I noticed their macro said "raise on --------, as long as it's not a lalafell."

Now I admit if someone dies like 5+ times to the same thing, I'll leave them on the floor after a while, buuuuut... This is much more petty. @__@

Yes yes. And I explained it to them. You need to hold R2 or L2 and bring up actions, either works. They didn't listen, and stacked or ran around with them. They were god awful.

Edit cause I don't wanna make a new post:

I was in the FC house of one of my alts and I was listening to the Oblivion orchestrated version, and taking screenshots to celebrate 70.

My Shinryu queue popped, and I forgot to switch my chest piece.

Lol Surprisingly only got close to dying one time, to the proximity aoe damage during the add phase.

    <<;

I'm a little awful too I guess lmao.

But the card overwriting co-ASTs (you get one free "I'll assume that was an accident" before I begin to despise you) can annoy me enough to cause me to be vindictive and try to Sleeve-Draw an Expanded anything to overwrite their overwrite if I feel like they are being overly inattentive or even doing it on purpose.

My knee-jerk cringe to loading into a party with another AST makes me wish I could just lean over to one of the other parties in 24-man raids without an AST and ask "do you want to trade?" I think the devs should add an extra party-forming criteria where as long as there are DF alliances being formed with 3 or less ASTs, they should always be sorted into different parties.

Though I do get about just as many co-healing ASTs that pay attention and (for the most part) take turns using Expanded cards, but it's still a pain to have to watch and guess what they're going to do/hold-off on immediately using cards out of courtesy. But if we don't have any card problems, they'll probably get my commendation on that quality alone (unless there's something glaringly awful).
I've never had that problem. Whenever I play AST, I always forget to set my sect at the start (summons persist through instances, why don't stances???) and I usually only do card stuff at the beginning of a fight and then get distracted and forget about that entire mechanic.

    ...

Ugh... Sometimes I really wish I could just remove a class from my armoury. It would be for public benefit, really. Picking up AST was my second biggest mistake (BRD was the first) and now OCD won't let me NOT level it and do its story because I've already started.

Main reason i stopped leveling AST after hitting 50. I just dont have the patience to deal with that.

Well, found a real hones troll in Ridorana...
During Belias, Astro was *sprinting* around cleaving the room with the timestop chains and actively turning the clock bombs towards the middle.
When he was called out for it, he pretty much admitted to trolling by saying "have you guys no humor?" among other such things.

After he was kicked out, his friends initiated a vote abandon immediately after a ready check started. You know, where the "yes" buttons line up pretty well so if you're clicking one at a bad time you end up clicking the other one... And when that didn't go through, they left the instance. Think there were 2 or 3 more in that party.

    /sigh/

On the topic of Astro cards:
I have a hard time picking a healer when going alone into an instance that's going to have two. Always because I'm afraid of stacking.

If it's two White Mages, there are going to be no shields. And I really really like shields.
If it's two Scholars, someone's shields are going to be redundant.
If it's two Astrologians, oh god the potential awkwardness of overwriting cards. It's not even always me not remembering to pay attention to whether cards are active atm (something I'm already bad at), but I also have some terribly bad luck with the following happening constantly:
co-astro has their cards set. I have my cards set. I wait for co-astro to card. No card. "Huh, guess they're waiting for me to do it. Ok, here goes." We press our card buttons within less than a second of each other.

In all fairness, you have the ability to switch sects too. If theyre stubborn and refuse to switch, which admittedly is a d**k move, make the change yourself. No one died from an excess of teamwork

I wonder if the devs can bother doing anything about this- because it's pretty /facepalm in 24-man raids when you get put into a party with the same type of healer but look over at the other 2 parties and see that one or both don't have said type of healer. Or even more hilarious is that another party also has a double healer type composition, ie: your party has 2 ASTs and another party has 2 SCHs...

I understand that for 8-man DF content matching you really have no idea what's in the queue, but when you can see the compositions of the other 2 parties in your alliance, it really can leave you wanting some kind of system that can circumvent these awkward match-ups.
