Does every Xbox and PS3 game put a bullet point on the back of the box saying ("and lots of achievments to do!") no....because its fluff, pure and simple.

Aside the fact you already make it clear you're very cynical when it comes to this game -- Your argument falls flat here:

Achievements in 360/Steam/PS3 does absolutely nothing but basically tell you "you've done this" very rarely are you rewarded for obtaining them -- They create goals to strive for (the point of it) but they don't have to announce it because the game isn't about achievements -- In an MMO setting, achievements are content that they normally announce because it's basically like announcing "Hey we added new quests" because it's telling your players they just added something for you to do.

do they normally make it one of only a few things your getting as content in the patch for other MMOs? Quests are story driven, you go to an NPC, head out with it in your log you can always check (and see where it is) go do it, come back and get more story bits with a reward. Achivements dont give even half of that. So if all we do is put rewards on stuff its now content?

ok run 10 feet and (100gil) = content then right? kill 10 mobs and get a pebble....CONTENT!

achievements are the lowest common denominator when it comes to content, its easy to make loads of it. There is a reason people thought leves sucked, this is just as pointless. I can come up with thousands of achievements and give them rewards....is that good content?

I consider trophies more of a self-enjoyment system. Recently earned my 33rd Platinum with Skyrim. I believe that Final Fantasy XIII was the only game that actually rewards me with anything and that was a wallpaper (thanks for that btw SE). However the self-satisfaction for earning said platinum's is the ultimate reward in my books.

The assumption of the op is the Moogle battle is the only new content. Hence, that is what they're looking to be corrected about if wrong.

Sure, OP expressed a sense of uncertainty but it is what was written after it that decides the OP's intent.

Is the moogle fight in 1.20? if it is...is that ALL the new stuff to do?

The OP is unsure but makes the assumption that it is all there is to do, then goes on to ask if there is anything else in addition to that. This is what the OP wants to be corrected on, whether their assumption (just the Moogle battle and nothing else) is correct or not.
