Yeah, no. I see through your purpose, especially since you conveniently ignored the rest of my post. Although it's nice of you to admit that you were only really here to troll in your last statement.
Even so, I will also admit that SE will retain the status quo as is, as there are far more pressing issues where they are adamant about keeping the status quo on those (as in, the entire content release cycle). They were only too eager to jump on the Koike incident (hell, I was probably the person you heard about it from in the first place) as justification for not officially supporting parsers at all, even though the use of parsers played such a small role in the incident. Still, the idea that this is yet another possible disparity between PC and PS4 users is bothersome, but with the dev team's stance as is and the major outside example (WoW) being the only precedent of what happens when parsers (or more accurately, support for all add-ons) are completely unregulated, it's easy to see why they don't want to touch it at all.
Still, we all know our community has serious issues with how they approach content. The clear rates being so drastically higher among JP players compared to NA/EU players does not exist without reason, and community mentality is the major difference. Parsers exist among both communities (if anything it seems to be more accepted in the JP playerbase than it is here), so it can't be a major contributing reason for the difference. Considering that SE intends FFXIV to appeal to as many people as possible, the disparity between the communities is the sort of thing that actually affects content design in this game in the long term. The JP community probably hates us for it - in their eyes, all the data is pointing to us holding the game back, while we're sitting around clutching our pearls over how mean other people are for expecting you to actually work with them.
The difference is, my edits don't typically change the entire intent of the post, they are merely add-ons.
