Yeah except that wasn't what we were even talking about. You say you were reading so you should know. We were having a civil discussion. It's the people who can't walk away who added 15 pages to this.Yes, I'm aware of the direction this thread has took - just because I'm not actively posting doesn't mean I'm not reading. Nor do I follow any one person on these forums. I'll comment when I have something to say, doesn't matter who is or isn't around.
That's fine if you and others care about the subject. It doesn't mean that you folks are necessarily right, either. There's been a near unanimous agreement about requesting additional features - it's the original idea behind it, that minorities are somehow underrepresented, whether intentionally or not, that leaves a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths.
You seem to be under some misconception that certain people on here are against diversity and that's why we continue to reply. What we're against is this odd assumption that this game LACKS diversity due to specific types of hairstyles and facial features not being present. It isn't us who keeps bringing this "issue" up, we simply reply to it to try and finally lay it to rest. It has nothing to do with "hate", I don't even know where you got that idea from.

Can you blame them, though? With few exceptions, folks tend to read the first page of a thread, maybe the second, and then jump to the last page. I'll grant you this, yes, the thread was somewhat alright and was actually attempting to get somewhere. I, however, am responding to your defending. Because, again, I don't agree with the premise of this thread.
See:
Please. Please.
Do I think this game has a "race problem"? I don't think so.
Am I in favor of more customization options in the form of shapes and hairstyles? Absolutely.
Even though I'm not a fan of these (very american) issues being brought up all the time, I'll champion any cause that gives us more options in the character creator. Hey, if outrage is what it takes for it to happen, outrage away!
"You have a heart of gold. Don't let them take it from you!"
You can already play as characters with dark skin with any race in this game. You can already style a character to have distinct African features with certain races. How exactly are PoCs not being represented?
Honestly after they brought back the second runner up from the hair design contest from three years ago, I do wish they'd bring the contest back one more time. Or just start implementing some of the finalists outright.
These two in particular stand out. Though if they run the contest again I would hope they actually pick a wider swath of options for the finalists. The last time they ran it there was a distinct 'uguu kawaii' theme with most of the hairs, and at least one of the entries was stolen from what I remember. Would be nice if they give us this chance to vote on and design hairs we'd like to see.
I dunno about the cc being racist but all imma say is its limited on EVERYBODY. it needs more options not just for blacks or whites. But everyone needs more options.
