if they are keeping with color stat bonus's i wonder what stats blue cobalt would favor.
Actually, there making it so you can have the bonus stats without dying the gear. Basically you take the item and upgrade it with whatever stat you want, then you can (if you want) dye it a certain color. This thread is just about what will happen to the items we already have, for example the Cobalt Armor(Red) we already have will become Cobalt Armor of [whatever attack power+ is named](Red).
They are seperating colour from stats.
Currently we have
Felt Hat -> Felt Hat (green) (with +3 MND)
now we will have
Felt Hat -> Felt Hat of the mind (taken from the new list)
and then, if you choose.
Felt Hat of the mind -> Felt Hat of the mind (green)
There are no special cobalt armour listed in the post... there appear to be for most other equipment though..
The only worrying one is there are no alternative to cobalt gear, so maybe the base cobalt gear will be given the stat?
Or they missed it off the list.

So to sum up what everyone just said. I will use Cobalt Cuirass as my example:
1st synth
Cobalt Cuirass
2nd synth
Cobalt Cuirass of {insert stat bonus}
3rd synth
Cobalt Cuirass of {insert stat bonus} (color)
and all the existing gear that is colored and stat'ed will become that item in the 3rd synth.

except there is no:
they have simplified some of the recipe's where you pre 1.20 got a stat boost from the dye'd item but only had 1 dye choice available. These stats are now part of the base item so:Cobalt Cuirass of {insert stat bonus}
Has been fixed but when an item had several stat boosts to choose from like felt hat (mnd/int) then those still have a mid lvl step to pick what stat you want before applying the dye.I don't understand why the stats are remaining the same. On the item table they say some colored gear will be changed. Cobalt Cuirass (Red) for example has no possible attribute bonus so it's going to lose the attack power on it and just be HP/VIT.
