Play all the ARR EX's solo unsynced.

Ifrit, Levi, and Ramuh have the same mechanic of "kill the adds before resuming dps on the boss, else enrage", in some cases, the actual mechanic is harder unsynced since a trailing DoT will push the mechanic phase faster than it would synced, so you have to literately kill the adds within that 2 second DoT tick unsynced . When you do it solo unsynced it's easier to not use the DoT's on the boss and only on the adds.

Shiva, King Moggle Mog and Titan have mechanics that are essentially luck based. Getting thrown off Titan's arena or into the Shiva permanently-frozen state is a basically a luck thing, and if you have low latency, you can dodge the failure conditions. Moggle Mog... well that's basically luck since he drains your MP, so to do it on a healer is pretty hard solo, but I did it.

Most of the 2.0 content, "hard" was a moving target. The first hard final boss would have been Isgebind in the Stone Vigil, because many tank players didn't do the Paladin or Warrior quests by that point. After more people actually started having access to "tank stance" it became less of a problem. The ARR MSQ finale was never hard. Amdapor Keep's Demon Wall was the first actual "hard" mid-boss, and if you go back to the forum posts from 2013 you'll find people demanding that everyone wear darklight or get kicked just to get past it.
