What's up with the Monster Hunter armor?

i think from the live letter they said that the armour lore was was meant to be a "eorzians' interpretation of what the armour would look like" instead of the standard, either way i kinda like it, never was a big fan of the female Rathalos armour from Monster hunter, and i like this new look.

So where is the Eorzean version of the Yokai minions and weapons? (And that mount..) Where is the eorzean version of the Garo stuff? Honestly it feels strange to have them using that reason for this event, while completely ignoring that especially the Yokai stuff looks so out of the Eorzean style..well the gear will just gather dust anyway (since the female version is just another skirt..) and I am just doing this for the minions.
