    MHW/XIV Collab - Release Date for MHW

    The update trailer for the collaboration event on MHW's side has been released and there is an official date for the update release: August 2nd.

    Hopefully this means we will hear the date for the XIV side soon, though the best guess at this point is 7/31 or 8/7.

    I didn't keep the link handy but if my memory isn't faulty, they flat out said there would be more info in the next letter. Discussing the crossover and 4.4, IIRC.

    Likely so, though I take little for granted these days when it comes to announcements. They said there would be more info and one would expect that to include the date, but it doesn't have to. This was just more of a PSA for people not watching the MHW site that they announced the date, anyway.

    Pure awesomeness. My friend plays a Dragoon in XIV and uses Insect Glaive in MHW. He is totally fanboying right now lol.

    I've never played MHW, but seeing that the DRG costume is available, and I love DRG in XIV, it's definitely tempting!

    I'm really excited about this, and I haven't even played a Monster Hunter game in my life. Because of this collaboration, I might have to give that game a try!

    Maybe our event will happen close to MHW's release date for PC?

    MHW releases for PC on 8/9 therefore the 8/7 possibility would certainly fulfill this... I'd say it's coin flip at this point, but if you consider that HoH released last week it would make the 31st a prime day for a patch which could include both Pagos and the collab event. I doubt they would patch those in separately when they can pack it all into a single downtime. Of course, that also means that if it's the 7th we will likely get Pagos then as well. Have to wait until Monday for more info.
