    Heh, I'd have to agree with this.

    I find myself spending 90% of my time farming mats to make gloves, shouting in Uldah for materia, synthing the gloves or melding the materia onto them..

    Yea it's addicting, but is this all I really have to look forward to? I'm already starting to get bored of it. Often times I question why I'm even doing it. It's supposed to make me stronger, but for what? I don't need uber stats to make the best gear in the game. Hell, doing it naked has no effect on how successful I am..

    I'm starting to think that the materia system was not such a good choice by SE. At the very least, the way it works just doesn't cut it for hardcore players.
