why i don't think materia will kill off dungeons

Even casual players can get 1-50 craft and make the gear and add 4 slot of materia. The issue is rare,ex gear are pointless with even 1-2slot materia they have to make rare,ex better for even semi hardcore to get it.

You have a very liberal definition of casual.

Yoshi has already said that Ex gear will be subpar compared to full slot materia. To the dev team, it is the only viable way of allowing everyone to experience content, while allowing the top-tier players get top-tier gear. Like Xatsh said, the hardcore don't want to sit in Ul'dah or farm spiritbond gear.


Proposition: Make various tiers of content. Normal Mode, Hard Mode, God Mode.
Normal mode drops okay loot. Hard mode drops slightly better loot.
God Mode drops amazing loot, but is nearly impossible to beat without proper knowledge of in-game mechanics and skill (or a LNC zerg, if it really means that much to you).

what do you mean? there linkshell saying you have to have gear with materia and all making party just for that and farming and making gear just for it. So yes it seem the hardcore even tho they don't want it are making other people get it to even join there endgame linkshell. So i hoping they do something about it so you don't really need the best gear with materia to do A endgame and B event,.

I dunno man I think requiring materia is going to far, I wouldn't want to be a part of that shell for sure. But I would like folks to wear level appropriate gear at the very least.
