I think that would look very strange with a human character instead of the fish! (and by human I mean all the playable races.)

In fact I don't think it could work, as is, because a human can't wriggle sideways like a fish can - our spines are built to bend front-to-back, not side-to-side. We have some sideways flexibility, but not in the same way, and it's more of a deliberate movement.

You could maybe have a "lying down and twitching" emote but it would have to be a different motion. And I don't think it would be funny in the same way it is with the cartoony fish.

The purchased /playdead emote is probably your closest option.

It would be nice if they gave us the option to /cpose and die in a different way, but then they'd have to basically rebuild how /cpose emotes work where it first goes into the default stance, and only switches after a couple of seconds.
And now that I said that, I want it regardless of any persistent emote. It's annoying, having to wait for that.

That's why it would be so much fun! I want my Roe to do the funky chicken on the ground after a boss battle.
