If you were capping every week you would've have more than enough mendacities to get a full set of 360 tome gear and also if you were actively hunting you would've been able to turn all of those 360 pieces into 370 pieces as well. Also with the hoh you have access to a i365 weapon if you don't do extreme trials. And if you want to learn savage, no one is stopping you from making your own party so the blames to your whining lies entirely with you.

unfortunately I didn't come back to the game until fairly recently, and took me quite awhile to catch up with the game as well as remember just how the game is played, i may have reached cap 3 or 4 weeks at this point, and i only recently got the rightside completed with 370 from the recent tome purchases. I'm not even sure I want to buy armor with those tomes because i dont play anyone single job, I feel like I need to switch it up or I'll feel bored. I'm the kind of player who likes their own personal style rotation so I know i'll never be top dps or healer, I can't be bothered to min/max every aspect of a job, it ruins the suspense and thus fun for me, but I don't mind working for the harder goals and mastering instances.

This will cause you problems. Jobs do not have stylized rotations. While minor deviations are fine, attempting to completely alter a rotation will simply gimp your damage for no benefit. Furthermore, while I get playing the same job constantly can get tedious at times, you won't develop good habits and muscle memory if you frequent bounce around. Keep in mind, if you do look for statics, most prefer you have a preferred "main" job.

As for gear, you have quite a few options.

    - Farm Aetherpool to convert into a i365 weapon
    - Weekly Ridorana
    - Mendacity capping
    - Purchase i350 crafted gear (whatever's cheapest) and exchange it for Augmented verions

Exactly. When you join a static, you're signing up as a particular job. Most statics will allow you to have 1 or 2 alternate jobs, but when all 8 members are there for raid night, you're expected, nay required to play your main job in Savage. That only applies in Savage though. Outside of Savage (and maybe Ex primals), most statics are like "Play whatever you want". Also worth bearing in mind you'll only be spending a subset of your time (if a casual raider, usually 4-6 hours a week) required on that main job. All the other time you play is open to you. Don't be discouraged.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

I don't mean to sound mean, but there is no such thing as "personal style rotation" in this game, its not even that you would be playing suboptimally, you would just be playing the job badly or wrong. You don't even need to min/max in order to participate in savage, you just need to learn how to play your job properly and learn a few tricks to increase your raid potential.

Yeah, sorry to tell you but that won't fly.
Savage and a "I'm a special snowflake and do it my way" kind of playstyle don't mix, because (sadly) the game itself does not allow that kind of customization when it comes to the combat element. There really is only one way to play a class correctly and the enrage timers of savage are designed around everyone playing like that at least 85% of the time.

Piece of advice: stay out of savage. I doubt that you would have much fun in there in the long run unless you change your mindset.

Yup, outside of wiping on Kefka savage, there really isn't much to do atm. Peoples login times (and subsequently # of groups in PF) reflect that.
